Great way to spend time with my 13 year old grandson
It's wonderful to see my grandson enjoy being out on a very good course. For an infrequent golfer, he is good enough to play well at times, and the challenging layout gave him all he could handle.
The young lady inside the clubhouse started our day off with a very cheerful smile and "good luck" wishes. Even though the driving range wasn't open on Monday morning, we were able to tee off a bit early with only a few other golfers around. This allowed us to work on his game a bit during the round. We look forward to returning.
Pace of Play
Piece of play was absolutely atrocious. There were almost 2 or three groups waiting at every box of every hole. It took us well over three hours to play a nine hole golf course. The Marshall was much more interested in talking on the phone than governing anything. Felt like one of the days where the clubhouse just wanted to squeeze as many people onto the course as possible.
I’ve played here a few times, and never had this bad of an experience
Very convenient!
The course is good for walking. No par 5 courses, so I can say this has no challenges. I just enjoy the nice weather.
The location is good, near to my work. I can casually visit there after work.

Top Short Course
Yates is awesome. Par 30 (6 3s and 3 4s). Nicely conditioned, fun and challenging layout. Awesom practice facility. Youth on Course program. And now they serve beer. Golf as it should be. Carry or get a push cart to enjoy it fully.

Charlie Yates is a great little track. I can get in great practice for pennies.

Fun Executive Course
I've played this course on and off through the summer. The greens are better as they've been working on getting them back in shape. I feel it's a bit higher price for a short course.

Good value. Greens are all back!
I read several reviews about this course having temporary greens on 7 and 9, and there was even a note on their website about it, but today (Sept. 4) all the greens were in great shape. Be advised that this is almost a par 3 course, as only three holes are par 4, with no par 5s. However, this worked out great for us and I think this course was a good value. Overall, it seemed like a well maintained course, especially the greens; whatever they were repairing they did a great job. There are hills and water features to make it a bit more challenging, but overall fun and manageable for even a newish player like me. There were a lot of players out, so so we had to do some regular waiting, but nothing too bad - played 9 holes in 2hr15mins.
