Good
Considering the weather we have been having the course was in decent shape. Bunkers were a little shaky on the sand.

Disappointment
There were people playing by themselves yet my twosome was put with two other guys who were playing alone. I would prefer to be told this before it’s time to tee off. That way it could be my choice of whether to play with strangers or not. One of the two we were put with didn’t play. The other guy was nice enough but would rather play with people I know. The course was not so busy that this could not have been avoided. As I said there were others playing alone in front of us. At least three. And at the desk to check in they were not very cordial. I gave my name and tee time. The guy just handed me the key and said nothing.

Interesting layout
Very cool layout that challenges your game without being overly difficult. It helps to be tactical about your approaches to the green - sloped greens make it difficult if you are on the wrong side of the hole. On chip shots it was really helpful to walk up near the hole and back to see the entire slope, it can be tricky!
Many holes offer good risk/reward decisions. The day I played they had some tough pin positions that gave you the choice between a risky shot at the pin of a safe play to the middle of the green.

Pace of play
Overall, a nice and challenging course. On the third hole we got help up by a group of five and by the 5th hole it turned into a group of 8 (all seemingly college players) that came through the fence by the range. We waited on every shot with NO courtesy to let us play through (we were two). Asking for a refund if this happens again because I do want to try an enjoyable round there and I am here frequently now for work.

Unfortunately, pace of play was not good this time. normally pretty good.

All is great except the greens.
I love the layout of the course, it is a good challenge. Fairways and tee areas are in good condition. I hate the piece of carpet they have put down to serve as a green surface. The effect of it is totally different from grass growing out of the ground. The ball rolls as if putting on concrete or asphalt. Your touch on the putter has no effect on the roll of the ball. I barely touched the ball on a 10 ft. putt and the ball rolled 8 ft. past the hole. That is not a challenge, it is ridiculous. Trouble is, all public courses in this area are the same.

Amazing greens
Course overall is in really good condition for being winter. Several of the pins were tucked in tough spots, unlike another reviewer on here complaining about them I happen to enjoy it a lot more it’s more of a challenge.
