Forest Hills Golf Club

Frequent this course when I can. Course was in great shape, especially for this time of year. I played like garbage, lol, but a bad day of golf beats a good day at work.

Thankfully the greens have come back and the course is playing as it should. Great job on the new cart paths on the front nine. Hopefully it won’t be much longer and the back nine will get new ones.

Course is in good shape. New cart path layout on front 9 makes sense and helps with pace of play. Greens seem to be getting back to Forest Hill standards.

Staff was able to accommodate a later tee start due an unplanned personal conflict with my original tee time.

Last time I played here the cart paths were being paved,so there were several detours to get around the work being done. They’re now finished and in great condition! Like the simplicity of this course. I’m a terrible golfer, but rarely lose any balls on this course. Weather was awesome on this day!

First time playing here and it was a great course! The entire course from tee box to green was in excellent shape. I will def keep it on the rotation list of courses to play.

Course in great condition; some ongoing construction to improve cart paths and areas around the greens and some new fairway turf. Overall great experience and will play there again.

The course was undergoing renovations and very confusing.

I believe this course has some of the best features, staff, and accessibility. Forest Hills Golf competes with some of the best courses around. Of all the courses I’ve been to and played so far, this one stands as my favorite. My only concern is that sometimes, depending on the day and how busy it is of course, you feel like you have to rush through shots as carts begin to stack up behind you at the tee box. Not all golfers on the course are concerned with your pace, and tend to make you feel rushed into the pace that they are at instead. Conclusively, I would absolutely recommend this courses to any of my friends or family. I feel like I could play this course any day of the week and never get tired of it.

Greens do appear to be recovering after months of problems. Not nearly as fast as before but putts are rolling somewhat true again. The cart paths are all dug up on some holes. There should definitely be a better discount until the course returns tonite firmer glory. Hopefully once course repairs are done, the course won’t try for Tour quality green speeds when hard freezes are always a risk in winter.

Carts often were not allowed on fairway when paths were closed. Required backing up on many holes, slowing play and extending round. Greens still had lined out areas making these areas not available for play.

I have played over 1000 rounds at Forest Hills. Love the course and hope the repairs will be completed soon.

The cart paths on the front 9 were all tore up and waiting to be replaced in the near future. The carts have an auto cut off that goes into affect when entering a restricted area. The issue is on several holes the carts would shut off even when driving right next to the cart paths that were in a state of disrepair. There were several occasions where our group had to drive in reverse to allow us to proceed to the next hole which was extremely frustrating.

Also, the greens were recently aerated and most of the greens were patched with new sod in several areas of the greens. These areas were treated as ground under repair, but was very annoying having to do so on most of the holes

Historically the course has been a lot of fun to play, but this latest experience was true misery. I wish that the clubhouse employees had informed us of the issues prior to us paying. The total cost with cart was $47.

I would recommend avoiding the course until all the improvements are completed which is several weeks at best

I was not told about the condition of the greens when I made the tee times even when I asked about the condition of the course. Also they had the carts set up for cart path only when the fairways were as dry as they could be. The carts shut off as soon as they left the cart path. I asked the pro shop about the cart path situation at the turn but was told they couldn't do anything about it. It made for a miserable day due to the heat, the condition of the greens, and the cart path situation. I won't go back until some improvements are made and the staff is more upfront about the condition of the course. It's unfortunate because I've played this course before and it has always been in great shape. We traveled 75 miles to play there and felt like we were ripped off.
