First off this is really where Bobby Jones starting his romp ending in his four majors. There is basically a Bobby Jones Museum next to the grill room...Secondly, this is a Donald Ross gem which is being carefully restored.

Augusta University plays here so they are required to maintain a certain level of quality under NCAA rules.

Scenic, challenging, historic and reasonably priced.

I know the greens have been an issue. Its early. Front 9 path completed, great on my back.

Pace of play a little issue. Have to promote ready golf.

Just a awsome friendly staff and course.

The course is and awesome layout, the preseason condition

was good. I think in a month to six weeks the condition will

be outstanding, I plan to play there again when on my next

visit for the Masters.

I've played here a bunch over the last few years and usually have been extremely pleased. Unfortunately, the course is in really poor shape. Seems they scalped the course and there is little grass left. Greens have many patches of sand, collars non existent, fairways bare and tee boxes are terrible. The par 3's are nothing more than sand filled divots. They try to mask this with green paint. I know they had some issues last spring/summer but had seemed to recover by the fall. Hopefully they can get a handle on things much quicker this time around as again it's a wonderful track and a true joy to play when conditions are good. It will be months before I consider going back.

Great course layout! Love the difficulty and greens were in great shape considering its winter. They were a little sandy but that is to be expected this time of year.

Greens were pretty rough, unexpectedly. Usually good but not good right now. Pace of play pretty rough which is usually since nobody manages the tee times. I usually play the River Club which is a lot better. Forest Hills will work if you just need to get a round in.

We enjoyed playing this course. Greens and tee boxes were great. We would recommend playing this course

it's a tough course and the greens are challenging to say the least, a small mistake you'll pay big as you go along.

WOULD ENCOURAGE FORESOMES TO LET MUCH FASTER PLAYERS TO PLAY THROUGH AND READY GOLF.

Made mistake and ended up with prepaid booking instead of my usual “pay at the counter”which was about $250 for the foursome and unfortunately pulled my back on thanksgiving and couldn’t play and that’s when I realized the prepaid status was non refundable. Still being a nice guy I called the course and told them I we would not be there. Live and learn eh.

But will be back there to play another time as I love the course. Just will not “pre-pay”

They do 8 minute tee times. Expect nothing less then 5 hours plus

Never saw a beverage cart the entire time. Pack like you are going camping because you will be out there all day.

Had a fun day until I caught the slowest group ever. Literally, there were six groups bunched up behind them. two waiting on the tee box and three on the hole behind them. I ended up just jumping back to the front nine to finish my round. really sucked that the only time I actually got a cart that I was just sitting in it waiting for some farts to spend 15 min on each green.

Now for the good... The front nine is in great shape! the new concrete paths and layouts were pristine. Cant wait to see how the back nine turns out.

Frequent this course when I can. Course was in great shape, especially for this time of year. I played like garbage, lol, but a bad day of golf beats a good day at work.
