Mountain views can be found on all 18 holes at Butternut Creek Golf Course, located in north Georgia. Elevation changes, mounds and undulating greens are all part of the challenge on the Bill Watts-designed golf course. No two holes are alike and water comes into play on 13 holes. With four to six tee boxes on every hole, the golf course can play as short or as long as you like. Butternut Creek is owned and operated by the Union County Recreation Department.

Challenging course with beautiful views!

Being in the mountains, the course is hilly so there are several blind shots - and Butternut Creek winds through the course so be careful! But the view are amazing and the course is in great shape.

GPS on the cart is helpful and pretty accurate.

No driving range, so get your practice swings in before you arrive. The course does not allow personal coolers and the day I played, there was no drink cart and no cups at the water coolers on the course. But the cart does have a cooler and they provide ice, so load up at the clubhouse before you tee off and at the turn.

Overall, a beautiful and challenging course at a great value. I will be back!

Fun course to play

Too many twosomes playing for a Saturday, need to pair up to make foursomes. Several log jams throughout the round. Loved the friendly staff ai the Grill. The burgers were large and delicious, and WOW only $1.00 for a soda, water, or powerade..
