Excellent People. Excellent Facilities. Excellent Course.
Thoroughly enjoyed our time playing this course. Fairways were plush and greens were immaculate. The facilities as a whole were inviting. If I lived near this course I would definitely be a member.
Great day
We played Chapel Hills on a Wednesday and the course was in good shape. The greens were especially good and the pace of play in the morning was awesome - under 4 hours total. With many tee boxes, the options are nice for any level of play.
Great Day at Chapel Hill
I took a friend from out of town to play. The staff was welcoming and gave us some tips on playing the course. (Stay below the hole)
The course is in excellent shape. The greens are very challenging. They are fast and tricky to putt from above the hole. I would recommend this course to anyone.
Slow play for a Wednesday afternoon.
Interesting layout in fairly good condition. Several tee boxes were in poor condition. The greens were nice but a little slow. The pace of play on the back nine was really slow culminating with two groups waiting on the 18th tee box. I called it quits at that point.
Great Course
Had a great time. Interesting layout. Front 9 form a clockwise circle - lots of dog legs right. Back 9 form a counterclockwise circle — lots of dog legs left. Course was in great shape. Greens roll true but have a lot of subtle undulations that are hard to read and feel. It’s a challenging but fun test. The staff was awesome, by the way.
Excellent course. Great staff.
Chapel Hills is by far the best track in Douglasville. It's a shot-makers course, and the greens are its defense. The food/dining room is good and the staff are all friendly and helpful.
Great place .
Excellent course. Greens in Fantastic shape, fairways plush and well maintained. The Layout is fair with some challenging holes and fun holes.
Only negative is how do u not have a hot dog… Great Place to play
Would’ve been great if the greens were better.
Very petty course. Nice layout. Super easy back 9. Even from the tips the course is only like 6500 yards but it’s a good one to practice irons off the tee and wedge shots to greens. Range balls included with round so that was nice. Wish i had known the greens were healing from aeration though. Extremely slow and fuzzy which made it difficult to pick a line on putts. Other than that the course was in great shape. Bunkers were great besides the fairway bunkers having too much sand. I would love to come back when the greens are healed to get the full experience.
Course layout is so-so, but in great condition
The course layout is odd. Mostly dogleg right on the front and dogleg left on the back. Lots of holes where driver is not an option. Course knowledge is critical. Numerous drive in the fairway wound up lost due to layout. Course is in excellent condition, which was the saving grace. Too unusual a layout for me, but some may like it.
Great course BUT…
First time playing this course. I was aware there was aerification going on with the greens prior to going as it was stated here on golf now. That being said i was a bit shocked to find out that the day I went was literally the first day they started the process. The greens were literally a beach and from a distance you could not tell what was the bunker and what was the green besides the flag pole. but that’s not what bugged me because the rest of the course was in awesome
Shape besides a few bunkers. What was disappointing is that they would still charge $80+ for people to play it. I know the process takes some time but it’s pretty messed up to charge such outrageous prices when they know the greens are virtually useless in the first few days when it’s just nothing but sand. Should have been a $40 course at most when it’s this unplayable for a proper round. Besides that everything else was great and staff was very friendly. I will definitely be back if they keep the member for a day thing going when the greens are back to normal.
Marshal, do your job!
All in all, pretty good day. Good course, in pretty good shape. Just need the marshal to do his job better. When a group is 2 holes behind make them skip 2 holes to catch up. 2.5 hours to play the back sucks! We joined up with the threesome behind us and still waited on every shot on the back. Also, NO CART GIRL!
