About
Royal Lakes Golf & Country Club is situated in the heart of South Hall County. The course sprawls across 150 acres of rolling countryside with natural wetlands comprising 19 of those acres. The golf course has a traditional Scottish links design that also incorporates a few mountain holes. It's a layout that will always keep you guessing. It may not be the most formidable golf course in the area, but it shouldn't be underestimated either. The course strikes a good balance between being forgiving enough for high handicappers and challenging enough for more advanced players. The par 3s are tough and the diverse par 4s come in all shapes and sizes. Royal Lakes Golf & C.C. is a shot maker's layout that requires accuracy and thoughtful strategy. The most memorable hole on the golf course is the par-5 11th, which features an intimidating island green.

Hot golf
Course was in good shape except the greens were slow probably due to the heat this time of year. Overall a great challenging course. Needed a beverage cart.
Course in nice condition
Overall the course was in good condition. The only issue I have is ether speed of the greens. A little too slow for me but I do understand that for pace of play the greens cannot be too fad. I wish golfers would learn how to repair ball marks on the greens. The greens would look and roll smoother if we did. The staff was friendly but no beverage cart on Sunday morning.

The course is seeing a lot of play and golfers would benefit the course to sand their divots and repair marks on the greens. Staff is doing a good job with maintenance in the heat of summer.

Excellent course
Tees, fairways, and greens in great shape. There are no dumb holes, and no two holes are just alike. Staff always friendly. Highly recommend.

Great Golf Course
I would have given this course 5 stars except for the fact that pace of play on the front 9 holes was really slow due to 2 groups in front of me and they would not allow me to play through. No marshal to regulate the pace of play. The 2 groups in front of me only played 9 holes so the pace picked up on the back side but I still caught up to a foursome on number 15 that did not let me play through either. A marshal is needed for sure.

It’s always a pleasure to play Royal Lakes. Course is in great shape and greens are in great condition. They’re a little slow but the heat has them mowing a little high I would imagine. Staff was very friendly

Must Play
The course is beautiful and in great condition. The greens roll true and the speed of the greens are moderate. Beverage cart goes around and the club house has everything you need from supplies to drinks and food. The only drawback I saw was pace of play was slow. A Marshall needs to be on the course.
