About
Royal Lakes Golf & Country Club is situated in the heart of South Hall County. The course sprawls across 150 acres of rolling countryside with natural wetlands comprising 19 of those acres. The golf course has a traditional Scottish links design that also incorporates a few mountain holes. It's a layout that will always keep you guessing. It may not be the most formidable golf course in the area, but it shouldn't be underestimated either. The course strikes a good balance between being forgiving enough for high handicappers and challenging enough for more advanced players. The par 3s are tough and the diverse par 4s come in all shapes and sizes. Royal Lakes Golf & C.C. is a shot maker's layout that requires accuracy and thoughtful strategy. The most memorable hole on the golf course is the par-5 11th, which features an intimidating island green.

No Budget for Weed Control?
This golf course has a challenging layout as we played from the back tee. What was really disappointing was that weeds were everywhere just outside the green area in almost every hole which made putting very upsetting.

Nice neighborhood ,Nice course
Really enjoyed this course, great layout. Funny how you notice things about courses when you compare to others in area, This course is well maintained with nice cart paths, divots replaced or sanded, greens are repaired , etc, All ln al a well kept course. With a little heat and rain the whole course will just get better.

I've played this course quite a few times over the years and I enjoy it everytime. The course is always in good shape and the staff always very nice and professional. In fact I have a tee time booked for tomorrow.

Disappointed
The starter and pro shop staff are very accommodating.
Unfortunately, the course conditions are fair. Several tee boxes need attention. Teeing off from dirt on several tee boxes. Fairways have very little grass. The majority of the sand traps need a lot of work.
Golf carts run well. No GPS on the cart or club/ball washer container. Due to COVID, no ball washers or drinking water on the course. A refreshment cart was available.
New cart paths are needed. Tree roots have grown under the cart paths making speed bumps throughout the paths.
Greens are fast and true.
For the price, I would find a different course to play.

Great Course.
Even with all of the rain this week, the course was very playable. We played 9 with a cart in 1hr and 15 min.

Great course
Great course greens were in good shape for this time around. Wouldn’t hurt to spray the greens in the winter so they don’t look dead. It’s a challenging course but fun
