About
Royal Lakes Golf & Country Club is situated in the heart of South Hall County. The course sprawls across 150 acres of rolling countryside with natural wetlands comprising 19 of those acres. The golf course has a traditional Scottish links design that also incorporates a few mountain holes. It's a layout that will always keep you guessing. It may not be the most formidable golf course in the area, but it shouldn't be underestimated either. The course strikes a good balance between being forgiving enough for high handicappers and challenging enough for more advanced players. The par 3s are tough and the diverse par 4s come in all shapes and sizes. Royal Lakes Golf & C.C. is a shot maker's layout that requires accuracy and thoughtful strategy. The most memorable hole on the golf course is the par-5 11th, which features an intimidating island green.

Challenging, but beautiful course!
I have played Royal Lakes a few times, and I think it is one of the best courses in north metro Atlanta area. The course conditions were in fantastic condition; the greens are some of the best I’ve played this year! This is a challenging course with lots of variety; some easy, open holes and some tough ones! I view this as a good mental game course (you have to pick your shots wisely and know your yardages well). Don’t be afraid to lay-up and you will usually be rewarded for it. Stay out of the rough during the fall (lost a few balls that I couldn’t find). I will definitely return often and play here. Keep up the great work!

Never played because of tee time was entered wrong date and could never get a hold of no one to cancel on Golf now and nor the golf course

Good course, even better employees
Really a 4.5 if I could give. Owner Jeff, club pro Luke & employees Todd & Ben (hope I got all names correct) all are friendly & pleasant to talk with in person & on phone.
We were rained out after nine but got an acceptable rain check to come back. One of our favorite courses when we can get a deal. We’re a “frugal” group so regular fee a little more than we prefer. Highly recommend especially when you can get a good deal

Always a good time
Staff are ALWAYS Friendly and efficient.
Course is well maintained and is a challenging but fair layout.
Sometimes the pace can get slow, the presence of a ranger is the only addition i would recommend
