About
Royal Lakes Golf & Country Club is situated in the heart of South Hall County. The course sprawls across 150 acres of rolling countryside with natural wetlands comprising 19 of those acres. The golf course has a traditional Scottish links design that also incorporates a few mountain holes. It's a layout that will always keep you guessing. It may not be the most formidable golf course in the area, but it shouldn't be underestimated either. The course strikes a good balance between being forgiving enough for high handicappers and challenging enough for more advanced players. The par 3s are tough and the diverse par 4s come in all shapes and sizes. Royal Lakes Golf & C.C. is a shot maker's layout that requires accuracy and thoughtful strategy. The most memorable hole on the golf course is the par-5 11th, which features an intimidating island green.

Great day to ride and play golf
Was a great day to golf ! Course in great condition ! Greens were slower then most times. May need mow? Cart lady was wonderful with ice in cups ! Can't wait to go back.

Although the greens were slow, the course was in great shape. It’s a really fun layout especially when you get to the 11th hole. We played in the afternoon and had no issues with pace of play.

Too Crowded
Royal Lakes is well maintained which is an improvement over some recent years. The greens are quite slow which is expected for Bent greens in July. The only significant issue was too many people were packed into morning tee times and the pace of play was an issue.

Nice place
Got a good deal on Golf Now. Was paired with a husband and wife. First time playing and they helped me with the layout. Course conditions were good....greens a bit slow but most likely was because of the rain. Fairways were great and pace of play was perfect. Will bring friends in the future.

Royal Lakes was in great shape today. This is a fun track. Pin placements were tough though tucked near ridges on the greens.

I’ll start by saying you won’t find a better course even for twice the money. Fairways cut 3-tier, greens absolutely perfect. Royal Lakes is one of the best maintained course around - you can’t go wrong playing this challenging, well thought out course - hit em’ long and straight.

Fun course
this is a fun course. It is short and greens are slow but the layout is super. Course is in great condition.

Still a great value
We just played Royal Lakes after all the rain. Greens were a little slow but everything else was fantastic. I love this course. I think I use every stick in the bag out there. Plenty of scoring opportunities mixed with some spots where you really need to manage the hole. We played at 10AM in 4 hours.

Staff and course were great. Check to see if there is a Tournament scheduled, that effect pace of play. Play if you can!
