About
Chicopee Woods Golf Course is a public, 27-hole layout in Gainesville. The course is tucked amongst the Appalachian foothills, giving it a scenic terrain of rolling hills. The holes are divided into three nines: the Village, the Mill, and the School, that are played in three different 18-hole combinations. Five sets of tees provide even more variety. The Village nine is the longest of the three and it's also the driest. There is only a small lake beside the second hole. That doesn't mean the golf course isn't challenging though, you'll still face several strategically placed bunkers. There are a few scattered trees but the course is mostly open and offers some room for error. In addition to the 27 holes, Chicopee Woods G.C. also has a driving range and chipping and putting greens.

Play was backed up when we started
We had 3 groups waiting at the first tee. The next group ahead of us had 3 carts and 5 players. We had others try to go in front of us because they were frustrated that play was backed up so much.
We apologize for the inconvenience you experienced during your visit. Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention, and we will take steps to address it.
Way too crowded
Good course at fair price which leads to overcrowding. Starter was not friendly and they did a poor job controlling pace of play. 5 hour+ round. Course was in good shape.

Chicopee Rocks
Greens were fantastic. Pace of play was 4 hours 10 min and we had to wait a couple of times for the 3 some in front of us on a busy Saturday morning. Staff and rangers were friendly and attentive. I had not been back in almost 10 years but I will be back soon.

Chicopee was incredible!
The course was in stellar shape. It’s a beautiful course design with many challenging layouts. I couldn’t have enjoyed it more. And for how nice the course is, the green fee was a fantastic value!

Great course, fair price. Fairways and greens were in excellent shape. Practice area is one of the best around.

Chicopee
It is a great course. Some tough holes; and some easy ones. A good combination of both on each 9. However if you are a beginner (like my wife) I do not recommend this course.

Wow! Exactly what a day at the course should be
Tried this layout on a whim on a Friday. Friendly, accommodating and I got paired up with 3 great people. Would join this place in a heartbeat. Layout fair but challenging, no trick holes or blind shots, amazing golf!
