About
Chicopee Woods Golf Course is a public, 27-hole layout in Gainesville. The course is tucked amongst the Appalachian foothills, giving it a scenic terrain of rolling hills. The holes are divided into three nines: the Village, the Mill, and the School, that are played in three different 18-hole combinations. Five sets of tees provide even more variety. The Village nine is the longest of the three and it's also the driest. There is only a small lake beside the second hole. That doesn't mean the golf course isn't challenging though, you'll still face several strategically placed bunkers. There are a few scattered trees but the course is mostly open and offers some room for error. In addition to the 27 holes, Chicopee Woods G.C. also has a driving range and chipping and putting greens.

Kudos to the grounds crew
Course is always in pretty good condition. For the amount of play it receives it is in very good condition. The changes being applied to the course will result in an even better playing experience. Kudos to the groundskeepers and the work they put in to maintain the course.

Very Homey
Something about this course is very comfortable. If I was a young boy, I feel good memories would be made playing here over and over....just has a nice comfortable feel to it.
It's somewhat challenging, has some water, greens are good conditions, and winds through the mountains just like I love.

Hidden Gem
Played Chicopee’s School and then Village. Loved Schools layout and forgiving fairways but still enjoyed the challenge of a few very hard holes. Village was also a nice 9 holes. Tighter fairways that placed an emphasis on tee shots. Combined the two 9’s played roughly 7000-7100 yards from the tips which is welcomed for an advanced golfer. In my opinion, Chicopee is one of the most underrated hidden gems in all of Georgia. Beautiful practice facility, beautiful course and friendly staff. Would rate Chicopee a 9.2/10.

Great Course
Everything was GREAT, except the 100 degree temp, but nothing you guys could do about it! :) But, You did have PLENTY of water all thru the course, and very friendly cart ladies, who checked on us regularly to see if we needed anything, which was awesome! I can't wait to play my next round there!

Great Course, pace of play awful
Will be removing this course from my summer rotation until they do something about the pace of play. Great course and value, but waiting 10-15 mins every hole in 90 degree heat is miserable.

fun & challenging
Management very organized - started on time, no one ahead or behind us - cart path only due to recent rain.
Greens were outstanding - lots of variety
We played from the white tees and even though we hit solid tee shots (225-250yrds) we had challenging approach shots coming in.
Great course - people we met play it a lot and they talked highly about it

Beat County course I have ever played
Really nice course was a little muddy in areas but we had a lot of rain the days before we played. Facilities are becoming outdated and could use some updates but the course is in great shape, which is what I care about. The carts are nice as well with the GPS course previews. I will come back as much as possible.
