Chicopee Woods Golf Course - Village Nine

Nice course, it’s kept up well for a public course.

The only complaint would be the cart paths throughout have a lot of gravel patchy areas. I’m assuming they are in the middle of repairing them.

Pace of play was typical of a public course. It was a five hour round.

Already great value, friendliness, quality facility. But the marshalls have to get on pace of play. Brutal 5:20 round. One ranger we talked to about group ahead said something but didn't follow through.

Pretty place to play. Seemed crazy busy but the round played without hardly any waiting. Village cart path is trashed, but the course was just fine. Can’t wait to go back.

We were waiting on the group(s) in front, yet the cart was telling us our pace was too slow. Made the round feel rushed. Other golfers were waiting behind us. Probably overbooked tee times.

I know a course need to make money, but over booking everyday is greedy and it takes the fun out of the game of golf. This needs to be fixed or you will lose more clients like me.

My first time playing Chicopee Woods. Two of my foursome had never played here. I was impressed with the course design and the standard of grounds keeping. This is a pleasant course to play and the staff was very nice. The cart electronics were helpful with terrain and yardages and they also provided feedback on pace of play. The food at the grill was also tasty. This was a pleasurable outing for my foursome and I expect to play this course in the future.

Played here last week also; greens actually improved a little which was nice as they were really good last week.

A little slow for my taste, but in excellent condition this week. I am still surprised how well they keep the course considering the volume they have here. Always a good place to play a round.

I have always really liked this course. Always thought it was well maintained, well managed and value oriented. I’m not sure now. As I understand it, this is a county owned course and all profits are to be put back into the course. Keep in mind the tee boxes, fairways and greens are all in really good shape. So, congrats on that. However, prices keep increasing and they are spending a boatload of money all of which doesn’t seem necessary. In the recent year they made some really nice improvements to the cart path surface. Great. Needed. Appreciated. They spent a lot on landscaping. Mainly plants and bushes. Way too many. ,Now they’re adding wider pavement to cart paths at tee boxes and greens. I’m sure it will be nice once completed. However, simply not a wise spend of money. Not logical at all. And it’s a mess. Sand bunkers look very nice. However, if you step into most, they’re hard in a great deal of the bunker surface. Spend the money from wider tee box and greens cart path widening on the bunkers. Or, here’s a novel thought. Since the regular cart paths, tee boxes, fairways and greens all look really well and the course plays well…. Reduce the price to play. Basically, my opinion is they’ve taken a really nice course and gone overboard on spending on pavement and landscaping. which will cost everyone more as time passes. This is not Augusta National. . I’ll continue to play it unless the price to play increases due to perceived and additional unnecessary spend. As said above, tee boxes, fairways and greens are all in really good shape. However, someone’s out of control with the checkbook.

#6 school was under repair, so played much much shorter. Only piece of constructive criticism..actual holes on greens were terrible..Haven't been changed for what 3 days and showed tremendous wear..Other than that, job well done team..see ya again

You can’t beat having 27 holes, a first rate practice facility, and super friendly staff. We have had a lot of rain this spring so there are quite a few more bare spots on the tees and fairways this year Vs last year. The grounds crew is working diligently to get the place in shape. I look forward to more great rounds.

As always, great staff, bar, pro shop and course. And of course, I still can’t putt.
