About
Chicopee Woods Golf Course is a public, 27-hole layout in Gainesville. The course is tucked amongst the Appalachian foothills, giving it a scenic terrain of rolling hills. The holes are divided into three nines: the Village, the Mill, and the School, that are played in three different 18-hole combinations. Five sets of tees provide even more variety. The Village nine is the longest of the three and it's also the driest. There is only a small lake beside the second hole. That doesn't mean the golf course isn't challenging though, you'll still face several strategically placed bunkers. There are a few scattered trees but the course is mostly open and offers some room for error. In addition to the 27 holes, Chicopee Woods G.C. also has a driving range and chipping and putting greens.

Always in good shape from tees to greens. Well managed and friendly.
Biggest issue is pace of play at time. I’ve been behind group that are 2 full hole behind after 7-8 holes and even though someone maybe be driving around in a cart they don’t address the group.
It should be you catch up by hole 12 or we will let 4 groups behind you play through. I’ve seen that at a few courses and is very effective. This can be done in a respectful manner.
Overall though my favorite course in the area.

Pace of lay
Having three nine holes and a dedicated starter are tremendous helps to avoid slow play., even on a popular day

Pace of play TERRIBLE
Course needs a marshal to drive around & keep pace of play up.

Great course for the money.
Great course and I play it often. The pace of play is helped because they have 27 holes. Pro shop is a metal building converted into a pro shop and grill. Could it be better? Sure but who cares because the course itself is the best in the area. They take pride in it and it shows. The GPS is off in most carts so I’ve gotten asked about driving in the green a couple times but I’ll let that speak for itself lol
Big fan of the course and would recommend for anyone looking for quality gold at a decent rate.

Chicopee Woods
Played it after we received a lot of rain this week. The course was very good with good drainage. Greens were also in good shape. It's a 60 mile drive for me, and I will gladly make the drive again to play Chicopee Woods.

Slow pace didn’t finish
Just to slow a pace with people not allowing faster better players to play through. We didn’t finish and 2 members of foursome left early because of pace of play.

27 fun holes
I play Chicopee Woods 5 or 6 times per year. Course is always in good shape and I like the layout. The practice area is one of the best anywhere. I have always been treated well by the staff. Pace of play is an issue on weekends. During the week - no issues. 3 nines means variety of routes and makes even more interesting.

Great Public Course
I have played Chicopee Woods over the last 5 years. The course is very well maintained and better than some private courses I have play. The course layout is fun and accommodates all level of player. This is a fun course that you can really enjoy!
