About
Chicopee Woods Golf Course is a public, 27-hole layout in Gainesville. The course is tucked amongst the Appalachian foothills, giving it a scenic terrain of rolling hills. The holes are divided into three nines: the Village, the Mill, and the School, that are played in three different 18-hole combinations. Five sets of tees provide even more variety. The Village nine is the longest of the three and it's also the driest. There is only a small lake beside the second hole. That doesn't mean the golf course isn't challenging though, you'll still face several strategically placed bunkers. There are a few scattered trees but the course is mostly open and offers some room for error. In addition to the 27 holes, Chicopee Woods G.C. also has a driving range and chipping and putting greens.

Course playable after lots of rain
Course in really good condition despite the amount of rain experienced.. I expected cart path only but was surprised to have only a couple unplayable lies. Bunkers were dry and raked.
Keep swinging those clubs!
Thanks for another great round of golf and company with my buddies. The location is convenient, the course is in good shape although I missed shooting 72 by a few (several …ok…. Many ) strokes!

Great course, and great value!!!
This course is not only a beautiful course, with great practice facilities, it's a great value for the money, little things like the on cart club washer, and cooler, as well as bigger things like built in gps range finder with lots of features built-in make this one of my favorite places to play. Other courses skimp on these details. The course is fairly challenging and gets a 9/10 for maintenance, the ONLY nitpick I have is that I lost two $5 golf balls in the fairway due to leaf build up (to be fair they were coming down pretty heavily at this point in the fall) we are playing there again this weekend, I highly recommend that u play here.

Challenging Course Design
Last Fall golf at its Finest. Great challenging, layout good selection of tea boxes will play again.

Great Layout in Great Shape!
You’ll use every club in your bag on this hilly track in the foothills. 6,600 from the Blues is plenty of distance for most low- to mid-handicappers on the original Village/School layout, as there are a number of forced carries to keep you challenged.
Greens are in really good condition, running true.

A day out
The course was in excellent conditions for this time of year. They replaced the cart paths in the past two years, the best anywhere in the metro area. The staff is friendly, the course is a little way’s out, but worth the drive. My only complaint is, the marshals should put more emphasis on pace of play…

Getting too slow.
I love this course and all the people who work there. It is just getting way too slow. Whether it is overbooking, the lack of marshalls, or both, it's getting painful. The tournaments that I also play in don"t help. You would think we are playing for our very lives, it is so slow.
Also not politically correct but the infestation of South Koreans and their all around poor ettiquette on the course is getting out of hand. Hitting into us on multiple occaisions during our last round, failure to ever rake a bunker for the group in front of us, etc. ,makes it an unenjoyable round for everyone. Please get marshalls back out there.
