Chicopee Woods Golf Course - Village Nine
About
Chicopee Woods Golf Course is a public, 27-hole layout in Gainesville. The course is tucked amongst the Appalachian foothills, giving it a scenic terrain of rolling hills. The holes are divided into three nines: the Village, the Mill, and the School, that are played in three different 18-hole combinations. Five sets of tees provide even more variety. The Village nine is the longest of the three and it's also the driest. There is only a small lake beside the second hole. That doesn't mean the golf course isn't challenging though, you'll still face several strategically placed bunkers. There are a few scattered trees but the course is mostly open and offers some room for error. In addition to the 27 holes, Chicopee Woods G.C. also has a driving range and chipping and putting greens.

Golfer Reviews
Slow pace didn’t finish
Just to slow a pace with people not allowing faster better players to play through. We didn’t finish and 2 members of foursome left early because of pace of play.
27 fun holes
I play Chicopee Woods 5 or 6 times per year. Course is always in good shape and I like the layout. The practice area is one of the best anywhere. I have always been treated well by the staff. Pace of play is an issue on weekends. During the week - no issues. 3 nines means variety of routes and makes even more interesting.
Thank you so much for the great review. We are glad you had an incredible time, and we hope to see you again soon! Thanks for choosing Chicopee Woods Golf Course.
Great Public Course
I have played Chicopee Woods over the last 5 years. The course is very well maintained and better than some private courses I have play. The course layout is fun and accommodates all level of player. This is a fun course that you can really enjoy!

Great Course
I play this course at least once a week and never been so frustrated on the pace of play. The parking lot was empty and we had to wait 5-10 minutes on the front 9 due to the extremely slow pace of a 4 some. When we made the turn we asked to play a different 9, the starter gave us a hard time but he finally let us play the other 9 much better.
I get it people want to take their time enjoy the game but this was flag out ridiculous.
Thank you for your review. We will pass along your positive experience to our team at Chicopee Woods Golf Course - School Nine. We look forward to seeing you again soon.

Course playable after lots of rain
Course in really good condition despite the amount of rain experienced.. I expected cart path only but was surprised to have only a couple unplayable lies. Bunkers were dry and raked.

Keep swinging those clubs!
Thanks for another great round of golf and company with my buddies. The location is convenient, the course is in good shape although I missed shooting 72 by a few (several …ok…. Many ) strokes!
Keith is the Man with a Plan on the front desk !

Great course, and great value!!!
This course is not only a beautiful course, with great practice facilities, it's a great value for the money, little things like the on cart club washer, and cooler, as well as bigger things like built in gps range finder with lots of features built-in make this one of my favorite places to play. Other courses skimp on these details. The course is fairly challenging and gets a 9/10 for maintenance, the ONLY nitpick I have is that I lost two $5 golf balls in the fairway due to leaf build up (to be fair they were coming down pretty heavily at this point in the fall) we are playing there again this weekend, I highly recommend that u play here.
Thank you so much for the great review. We are glad you had an incredible time, and we hope to see you again soon! Thanks for choosing Chicopee Woods Golf Course.

Hello. Thank you for reviewing the course. We apologize for the delay of play during your round. This is by no means the standard we strive to achieve. With that in mind, we are working to best control pace and allow everyone to finish in a reasonable amount of time. We will continue to look for ways to improve. Thank you for playing and we hope to see you again soon.
