Chattahoochee Golf Club

Chattahoochee GC can be a real challenge. The layout is a bit old style with minimal bunkers and hazards, but is a real gem. Despite the recent heavy rain, the fairways and greens were very playable. The greens rolled true and with reasonable pace that was a bit slower than typical for this course. Only a few balls embedded in the fairways with minimal roll on most holes. The rough needed to be cut. It was hard to find ball in the rough and getting out of the rough could take 2 strokes. The combination of rough, limited roll and general length put considerable demands on the tee game.

The practice facilities are not great with the driving range in below acceptable condition for this round.

I thoroughly enjoyed playing this course recently. The greens were in great shape and putted very well. A little tricky, but well. The fairways were also in good condition, as was the stray bunker I found along the way (it was very nice and fluffy). The only thing to watch out for is the rough; it is well maintained, but so thick it can be a chore to hit out of.

One thing I particularly liked (being that I do not own a range finder) was that the pin locations were measured off from the center of the green. So instead of just having 'pin location 1' it had 'Hole 1 (-12yards)' So you knew it was 12 yards closer than center.

All in all it was an enjoyable round, especially considering the deal I got on GolfNOW!

Took our 4some 4 hours to play because any ball in the rough
sinks down and most times can't be found. Need to cut rough
down more as it way too penal. It might be on the Northern banks of lake lanier but there is no water hazards on course. Practice green was not indicative of course greens

Needs some maintenance but with the excessive rain this summer it's really not fair to criticize the management for that. Love the layout. Very playable for high handicappers like myself but the back tees can make it challenging for the low handicappers. Great value and pace of play during the week is typically 3.5 hours or less.

I like to play on a course where my putting can have a true roll. The greens were like putting on a hardwood floor and thats how i like them. Overall the course was great and i recommend anyone to play it.

Fairways are extremely well maintained and greens look as good as most professional tour greens seen on TV.

Arrived at 5:30 PM and was done by 8:00 PM. Nice course, good greens, and lots of dog legs.

Nice track, good conditioning despite cart path only. God given beauty plus nice design. Definitely worth the drive N.

It was a muddy dae, fairwayz were soggy which made it play very long w no roll @ all. Greens rolled great w speed

My 2 sons and I played on Saturday before Fathers Day. We had never played the course before. Longest group of par-3s I have ever played. I should have played from shorter tees, but was playing with my sons, so I got beat up pretty badly by playing from the blue tees. Greens were some of the best I've seen this year, and very fair. Very enjoyable round of golf.

Nice course, but as a twosome we did get held up on backside as foursome did not offer to let us through. Two groups on front allowed us through and we hit drives quickly as well as second shots and picked up after our first putts.

It would have been nice to know that the front 9 was recently aerated. It was pretty much impossible to hit a clean shot from the fairway. The back 9 was in good shape. I think it was the courses fault and not GolfNow on posting the conditions.

Great course with some fantastic views. Plays nice from the white tees and very competitive from the blue tees. Great Club House with some great burgers and fries. Try it you'll like it, I guarantee.

The course was in great shape. It is a really fun layout, and the greens were well manicured.

The greens are large and very good, but there is too much elevation, too meant dog legs, and the fairways are very hard, with red clay under the grass. Impossible to take a divit from the fairway. The club would just bounce off the grass. Would go again but not in my top ten. When we walked in the pro shop the guy there just said, very rud like, what do you want! Never said another word...just gave the receipt and walked away. Not have a nice game, the carts are there, or see the starter. But the starter was very nice.

Was well maintained; has easy and challenging holes.

The course was in very good condition. Will look even better when totally green.

Growing up down the street from this course and having played it in fantastic condition i was hoping for a great golfing experience. Unfortunately the greens had been aerated about two weeks before and were pretty rough and crazy slow. It had rained a couple days before my round which may explain, but the fairways were pretty atrocious as well. Very little grass and became tiresome hitting off hardpan in the middle of the fairway and around the greens. I've played this course countless times and have always loved it but the conditions have gotten worse over the years. I did get a discount but would hate to play at a full rate.
