Greens need to really improve
Course tee to green was in pretty good shape. However, the greens were pretty bad. There is very little live grass growing. It is now May and the new grass you would expect to come in every spring is just not there.
Nice litte course in BFE
Nice course. Fun layout Out in the middle of BFE. Pretty well maintained. Never had a problem with the course. Just the old douchebags that wanna start trouble that's playing it. But I just don't say nothing cause I don't wanna have to beat some 50 year old up cause they don't like how far I hit it or how fast I play. I just be patient with them dudes.
Great Condition!
This course is in better condition than any course you’ll find at the rate you find here. It’s an open course so it’s very forgiving, and if you’re in the fairway, you’re guaranteed to be on a smooth, well-groomed piece of grass. No splotches or patches of sand anywhere.
Good Overall Course
Tee boxes and fairways were in really good shape. The greens needed a little work and played very fast but overall a good experience!
Hidden jewel
Yes it’s far from us but still one of the best courses to play. I would rather drive extra to play at a course that is well maintained and the staff is just as friendly.. as a bonus my wife got to take a picture of the cop car from Mayberry that was a thrill for her.
Course in good shape
Applewood played fair. Dirt patches on some edges of the greens.. Some green work in progress on 16, very sandy. 17 was a little bumpy. Otherwise, fairways and tee boxes are in good shape. Only expect it to get better as the weather warms up and the grass start to grow. Always enjoy a round at this course.
It makes you want to come back
The fairways are great It is a good course for me gain confidence and try to understand the game of golf..
Day light savings time
One can tell when day light savings time comes around when we all spring forward. The bees are buzzing the trees are blooming and the golfers come out to see their shadows. There was plenty of them which made us team up with others but it was still a good day to play golf. There was a few times when what looked like we was on top of one another but it was worth it. We managed to get in 27 a d I will take that any day. Besides a long day golfing is still a better then shopping
