Great time
The staff have been great the few times I have played and the course is in good shape, it is a drive but we’ll worth it
Course is in much better shape than previous years
I've played Applewood several times this year, and was pleasantly surprised by the condition of the course. It's very good. Much better than in previous years.Greens are true and quick for Bermuda grass. (unlike some other courses). Course layout is somewhat open, but still enough trouble to make you pay for a poor shot.
Carts need to be upgraded, but that's the only drawback to a pleasant round of golf. Like most courses these days,, the cart paths are not great either, but better than some I've played this year.

one of three players ahead of us was not mindful of good pace of play. he was taking too much time on finding his ball. if it was pro play he will be called out by marshall.
One of my favorites in the area
Great practice area, friendly staff and the course is always in good shape. Nice bar at the turn to grab good and drinks. . If it were in Aiken I would play it most weeks but always worth a drive out to Applewood
Needs to pick up the pace
Awesome course the pace slowed to a snail about hole6 then when I got done with 9 2 or 3 foursomes appeared out of nowhere and cut in front of everyone so I went to play the front nine again there was a foursome on 2 that spent 25 minutes or on the green I just left I didn't want to spend all day trying to play
Great Course ... but ...
This is great course filled with friendly staff, amazing course conditions, good food, and great prices .. however .. my only complaint is the lack of water out on the course. I know its a 'sign of the times' we live in, but refill stations were empty, water dispensers at the bathroom stalls were unplugged, etc. and it's hot. I know C-19 is a politically charged conversation (I am assuming this is why they were not out there), but people can choose to drink or not.
They did sale water at a decent price in the clubhouse to make up for the lack of refill stations. So great plan B. I enjoyed the day and will return!
