Applewood Golf Course

I'm from the Augusta area and regularly play the local public courses like Forest Hills and Bartram Trail. I saw this course with a weekday hot deal for $17 total with fees and figured I'd try it out given the relatively good reviews online. Overall, this is a very average course that is not on the same playing field as the other public courses I mentioned. The greens are OK but not great. The fairways were very hard and dried out in many places. However, for the money it is about what you would expect. The one thing that really got me was the pace of play while I was there - ended up leaving after the front 9 because it was so slow. Not terrible for $17, but will likely spend the $5-10 extra to play somewhere else next time.

It’s about a 45 minute drive from my house to play here, we play here about three times a month.The lady at the front desk is very nice and friendly and the greens are in very good condition.If you haven’t paid here yet you should definitely give it a try.

The course was in good shape despite all of the rain we have had. The greens were surprisingly firm as well even after the rain. Played in a little under 3 hours even with several groups in front of us.

we definitely appreciate the two groups ahead of us to let us to play through ahead. that was real nice. I hope slower pace groups will aloow for quicker players through!!!

Hot deal is the best!... this course never disappoints. For winter golf it was in fine shape and was a beautiful day. The holes lined up for continued challenge and the risk reward is always there. My fifth or sixth time playing, it’s always a pleasure… Chipping, putting, driving range are above average.

I love this course! Fairways are wide open. Conditions have been near perfect all season. Layout is suitable for a high handicapper like me. Staff is helpful and friendly, Other than tournament weekends, pace of play has ranged from moderate to wide open. Highly reccommended!

Course shape was good but they left the cut grass all over the place. Pace of play was way to slow. Last few times have been extremely slow

Great course, not a lot of shade but very well maintained.

I wouldn’t have ever driven the 40 minutes to play this course if it weren’t for this app and the awesome discount I got to play it. Saved me $40 minus the gas and time but was great! Got there a few minutes before our tee time in the beginning of the hotter portion of the day and they let us tee off a little early. Great experience

I've heard good things about this course from friends. Finally made the drive out and I was not disappointed. Teed off just before 1pm on a Friday and it was smooth sailing for our twosome. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. Tee boxes and fairways were fantastic. Bunkers (unfortunately I got to see these up close) were great. I would say 15 out of the 18 greens are in great shape with the others needing a little extra care (seemed like heat and/or disease on parts of them). Great value. I will definitely be back.

I play here 6 or8 times a year. Only course in my area that is flat. I would play this course more often, if it were closer. New greens are a little hard, but getting better. Course is always in good condition.

We played on Saturday and Sunday.Using the GolfNow app got a great price both days. The course is in very good condition the fairways are almost like carpet and the greens are in great shape also.

Had a great day on this course. The weather was perfect. The tee boxes and fairways were in great shape. I loved the speed of the greens, not too fast or slow. The staff was great as usual. Thanks for a great day and experience.

Applewood is one of our favorite courses. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. The starter is always looking to help the pace of play to the best of his abilities. I think the only criticism is to make all groups a foursome as much as possible. The greens are in great shape and the fairways are smooth. Never seen a bad day at Applewood.
