Good Course - coming around
This course has had its ups and downs over the past couple of years. The greens are looking fairly good, but are very hard to stick and roll extremely fast - which makes putting nearly impossible for the average golfer. Most fairways are pretty generous, with a couple of very long holes for the average driver, and even for advanced players. Some bunkers have little sand, and are mostly dirt which have damaged some of my clubs. Overall, it is worth the play if you're in the area.
Fun but tight!
Nice course- beautiful greens . It was challenging due to narrow fairways and a bit of water . But would definitely Golf there again.
Early Spring Golf
The fairways were starting to green up and fill in from winter. Greens were perfect. This is an interesting course in a beautiful setting that I would play over and over.
Perfect Greens
My group has been playing this course for almost a decade. This is the best that I have ever seen the greens. The par 3 8th & the par 5 15th are great holes and finally have the greens to match. Being late spring, the fairways were a little bare but with the rain this week that should change.
BTW... Fix 3...looking forward to the day that I can't find a ball mark to fix on a green other than the mark I just made!!!
Good Course in Good Condition
Very nice course in good condition. Friendly staff. Slow play on a Saturday morning despite the marshall's best efforts at moving people along. Play this course on a week day and you will have a much quicker pace of play.
I rated 4 stars, because 3.5 not an option
This course would likely be a 4-star course at times during the year, I'm sure.
Being March, it was 3 1/2 star condition-wise.
Golfnow rate is great, and their regular rate is reasonable, too. Membership rates are about as good as I have seen---if you want to walk.
Over all, everything is good, but nothing to complaine!
GOLF WITH BEST FRIEND JAMES
THE WEATHER WAS PERFECT AND THE COURSE WAS IN GREAT SHAPE! ALL OF THE STAFF WAS TERRIFIC, ESPECIALLY SANDRA AT THE BAR!!! I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COURSE AND I AM DEFINITELY COMING BACK!!!
Always a wonderful time
If you are anywhere near this course it’s a must. I try to get up there at least once a month. With the weather getting warmer the fairways are getting in great shape. Greens and tee boxes are wonderful. If you practice on the putting green all 18 are even better. Great staff and service. Highly recommend
A good fun play
The day and the play would have been perfect, except the bugs were eating us alive. The bites were plentiful. Make sure you have plenty of bug spray.
Otherwise enjoy your day !
A good course at a very fair price.
Unfortunately, a number of greens had not been cleared of seed pods that had dropped from nearby trees. This is a seasonal problem.
Majestic views
The course was in fairly good shape. Greens were nice. Fairways may have been cut too short but not terrible. Very forgiving course if you hit an errant ball. May want to recheck yardage from tees with gps. Some were off a half a club or more. Otherwise a great value.
Always a fun course to play.
Play here often the course has improved considerately and the greens and tee boxes are in great shape. Highly recommend Laurel Island to everyone. It's tucked into the trees along the Marsh in Georgia. I always enjoy the peaceful tranquility of this course.
Nice layout
The wife and I had a very enjoyable round. A few of the bunkers were wet from earlier rain but fairways were great along with the greens. Mostly open fairways which the wife especially enjoyed. Some challenging, but fair, water holes. It is a varied, interesting course with a very nice driving range. Staff very friendly
Great Gourse
Greens are hard because they are basically new but fast and in exelent condition, ball rolls nice.
Nice course for the money
Had over 2 inches of rain day before and course was still playable. Cart path only but still had a great time.
I would recommend this course.
