About
Collins Hills Golf Club is a little known course to outsiders, but it is a local favorite. The traditional parkland layout tumbles across a rolling terrain. The golf course features small, undulating greens and narrows fairways bordered by towering trees. The layout demands accuracy especially with the numerous sand bunkers that have been incorporated into the design. Several ponds and lakes are scattered across the course, coming into play on seven holes. The layout has its challenges but it is still gentle enough to accommodate a variety of different skill levels. Before playing, golfers can warm up on the driving range or utilize the other practice facilities. Collins Hills Golf Club's atmosphere definitely plays a role in the club's popularity, offering all of the amenities of a private club with a casual and friendly setting

3 star prices-2 star course
This course has seen better days. Honestly got the feeling they don't care. Greens were the worst I've ever played. The bunkers were either mud, filled with water or shin high grass. Everything just seems dated and they're trying to squeeze the last little bit of money out of it. You can play cheaper and nicer elsewhere.
Friday Scramble
I planned to play as a single Golfer but was invited to join a senior scramble/best ball ( 70+ years old) by the starter. It was a fun experience, and I enjoyed playing with a group as well as playing the course. Pace of play was a little slow four and a half hours but I enjoyed the camaraderie and the play. Great value and nice course.

Good Course For The Price
Price was pretty good. Couple greens really looked rough but the rest of the course was quite pleasant. Fairways were in great shape. I will definitely play here again.

What a goat rope...
This place is everything you've been reading. The greens are in horrible shape. The cart paths are unusable. There were angry golfers on the course screaming obscenities at other players for no real good reason. We were paired with a really nice couple. This course is worth about $24/round. IF you were ok with conceding to the fact that you would be putting in situations that you knew weren't true to your actual shot on about 9 holes.

Greens were horrible
The greens were horrible and patchy. The patches of different grass will affect your putts. One 10 ft putt hit a different patch and was redirected.
Sidewalks were also a mess...felt like driving on mountain roads. Sidewalk on the 16-18 holes were horrible.

Getting Better....
The overall landscape is getting better with greens being repaired however there are several that are still not put worthy. Also, the cart paths are in need of some desperate repair. Hopefully the greens will be in better condition this fall and the cart path gets a facelift soon.

Worse Course Ever
Where to begin:...this course is a complete mess. The greens were in the worst shape I have ever seen. There areas on many of the greens that should have been GUR but weren’t. This lead to bumpy, muddy, and slow ball rolls. There was standing water on two greens. It was 92 degrees and sunshine all day so clearly no one ever looked at them. The sand traps looked rock hard and as if no one from the staff has raked them all summer. There were two fairways that had large (20ft plus size) dead tree limbs in them. All the leaves were dead and had fallen off so clearly they had been there for weeks again with no one from the golf club paying any attention to them. The tee boxes looked like goats had been there recently as they were mangled. There were tee boxes either behind or next to greens which was a disaster. We were hit into while on the tee box 3 times! The cart paths were atrocious. There were large, deep holes everywhere. All were really old and made the day go even longer and bumpier to say the least. Too many to count. It reminded me of a municipal course where the city was on the brink of bankruptcy and just gave up. At best they shouldn’t be charging more than $20 at peak times and weekends. I will NEVER play here again! Save you more money and play elsewhere or just light it on fire.

In need of some TLC
This course is in need of some major TLC. Greens were in poor shape, patchwork, dead spots, and extremely slow. Many tee boxes had overhanging tree limbs which ate up tee shots.
Pace of play was abysmal, taking over 4hrs with no one coming out and checking times. Price not worth the experience
