About
Mystery Valley Golf Club encompasses 230 acres of gently rolling land that ranges from dense forests of towering Georgia pines to grassy meadows covered in acres of colorful wildflowers. Mystery Valley is known for both the beautiful scenery on the course itself and the stunning views from the elevated tees. There are two lakes and a pond that dot the course, coming into play on three holes. At just over 6,700 yards, the layout features some long holes but it will also test your short game with strategically placed bunkers around the fast, medium-sized greens. There is an interesting variety of holes including several winding par 5s and the watery and treacherous 15th hole, which is considered one of Atlanta's most challenging par 4s. The more challenging elements of Mystery Valley Golf Club are balanced by the generous, player-friendly fairways.

First round at Mystery Valley
The Good:

It’s a bargain for how good of shape it’s in
The bad:
Not enough carts; we waited about 45 minutes after our tee time because they don’t have enough carts.
Pace of play; we were a twosome and could’ve made up the ground from our late start. But there was a foursome in front of us that would not wave us thru. And there was no one in front of them. They had one golfer that was clearly playing for the first time and was struggling mightily. A marshall would’ve helped. It just made a late start even later.
All of that being said, that’s more to give you an honest expectation of the course. At the price I would definitely play it again. I would just be ready for the slowness. Because the course is great for the cost.

Frustrating Golf Cart Problem Need to Be Resolved!
This is one of the better municipal golf course. However, they need to change all their golf carts as most could only run 9 holes and are in short supply. Very frustrating to be stuck with a down cart without any replacements.

Great condition
This is one of the few courses inside the perimeter that is in great shape. greens fairways tea boxes courses maintained wonderfully for a municipal course.

Prices to big for a municipal course, particularly for residents
Slow greens, bunkers hard, clay, needs tilling, golf carts lack sufficient charge. Our two carts failed…..

Mediocre at best
Don't fall in love with the two beautiful white traps as you drive in...those are the only white traps on the course. The rest are rock hard clay. Fairways and greens are in decent shape, just also very very rock hard. May just be a result of no rain, but haven't played a course with greens this rock hard in a long time. The clubhouse wasn't stocked with left handed size large gloves, there were no tees available to purchase and the kitchen was closed down. Pace of play was pretty good, but I wonder if others have already learned of the rough conditions. Overall, I feel like the course is decent, but wayyyy over priced. We paid $56, and I would say it was worth a $30 round. Pretty disappointing, won't be back for a while.
