About
Mystery Valley Golf Club encompasses 230 acres of gently rolling land that ranges from dense forests of towering Georgia pines to grassy meadows covered in acres of colorful wildflowers. Mystery Valley is known for both the beautiful scenery on the course itself and the stunning views from the elevated tees. There are two lakes and a pond that dot the course, coming into play on three holes. At just over 6,700 yards, the layout features some long holes but it will also test your short game with strategically placed bunkers around the fast, medium-sized greens. There is an interesting variety of holes including several winding par 5s and the watery and treacherous 15th hole, which is considered one of Atlanta's most challenging par 4s. The more challenging elements of Mystery Valley Golf Club are balanced by the generous, player-friendly fairways.

Continues to Impress
Until this year, I hadn't played Mystery Valley since the late 1970's. It's been a pleasure to rediscover it, as I've played it four times in 2020, scoring twice in the high 80's and twice in the low 90's. Yes, I am a bogey golfer! Anyway, I think it's a great layout in very good condition for a public course. It's reasonably priced, and I've found everyone who works there to be super friendly. Pace of play is always very good.

Great layout and really decent conditions. They're doing some bunker work but other than that, no major complaints. Pretty good shape for late fall. Will definitely be back!

A must-play for Atlanta area golfers
I've been trying to play as many different courses around the Atlanta area while the weather still allows and yesterday I played Mystery Valley for the first time. I was impressed by the well-kept course conditions and the layout is beautiful. It's not an easy course but it's manageable with plenty of wide fairways, lending to it's appeal for the casual golfer. They are still doing bunker work but outside of that I couldn't ask for much more out of a county-owned public course. Pace of play on the weekend was right at 4.5 hours. I will definitely be coming back!

More Distance
Insufficient care about Covid. Expected strangers to share carts. Too loose about masks. Not attentive to the customer and the course was over crowded and slow. No marshal checking on pace of play as usual.

WARNING: Do not hit off the driving range mats unless you want green plastic glued to your clubs. They are worse than the old upper deck mats at Peachtree Golf Center.

No effort on there part
At least 10 of the 18 the greens world full of leaves impossible to putt!! Also all bunkers we're impossible to play out of!!
Like ok I understand the bunkers they had bad weather but not to have someone to blow the leaves of the greens I can understand the don't care!!
