About
Mystery Valley Golf Club encompasses 230 acres of gently rolling land that ranges from dense forests of towering Georgia pines to grassy meadows covered in acres of colorful wildflowers. Mystery Valley is known for both the beautiful scenery on the course itself and the stunning views from the elevated tees. There are two lakes and a pond that dot the course, coming into play on three holes. At just over 6,700 yards, the layout features some long holes but it will also test your short game with strategically placed bunkers around the fast, medium-sized greens. There is an interesting variety of holes including several winding par 5s and the watery and treacherous 15th hole, which is considered one of Atlanta's most challenging par 4s. The more challenging elements of Mystery Valley Golf Club are balanced by the generous, player-friendly fairways.

Wet conditions but fast greens
Wet conditions so even after draining (good) there was very little roll. Course played much longer than usual. Greens were very good and fast. Sand traps were saturated.
Good value for the price
Booked this course with a Hot deal price so it was worth what I paid. Nice day in January so it was busy as expected. Rained hard before so it was cart path only and the three some in front of my two some were not very good and playing from the tips. Made for a long day. Course was in good shape, looks like they've been working on the bunkers (real beach sand in some) clubhouse is in need of renovations, no cart girl is always a bummer.

Bunkers Sucked Players in front would not let us play through
The Greens keeper does not give a darn about the bunkers. Why don't you just fill them with dirt. They had water in the and no real sand. Come on guys.

For late December the course was in good shape, the course is working on sand traps which will be in great shape this spring - pace of play was good - great value - I enjoy playing here several times a year

Ok but
Tough layout on somewhat short course. #2 green impossible with pin at top. Need to finish the fairway construction on #15.

Liked the course. I think it is a good value. Greens were all in great shape, rolled true and were soft so you could be aggressive on approaches. Fairways and tee boxes were in good shape too. They are redoing the traps so some were very good and some were not but they said they would be done with all of them soon. Friendly staff. Not a tremendous clubhouse but had what we needed with some beverages and snacks. Also pretty challenging from the tips at 6800 yards and 122 slope.

Late tee time
Didn't even get to play got to the tee on time but a group that should of teed of 20 min ago takes the tee box after we were told to tee off. Will not be going back ever

Course in Great shape
Play about 50+ rounds a year, just recently found this course. Well worth the green fee, always an enjoyable round. Course is very fair, always in good shape. Re-doing bunkers on front nine now, but only making course better in the future. The staff goes above & beyond to accommodate. I would highly recommend to anyone

Fast greens
Overall condition was excellent, but the downhill putts were extremely challenging due to fast greens. Keep it below the pin and you'll be fine.

In line with expectations for a municipal course
Rained for first few holes - obviously nothing to do with the course. I had not played here in 6-8 years. The course is a fair challenge and remains so.
