Mystery Valley Golf Club
About
Mystery Valley Golf Club encompasses 230 acres of gently rolling land that ranges from dense forests of towering Georgia pines to grassy meadows covered in acres of colorful wildflowers. Mystery Valley is known for both the beautiful scenery on the course itself and the stunning views from the elevated tees. There are two lakes and a pond that dot the course, coming into play on three holes. At just over 6,700 yards, the layout features some long holes but it will also test your short game with strategically placed bunkers around the fast, medium-sized greens. There is an interesting variety of holes including several winding par 5s and the watery and treacherous 15th hole, which is considered one of Atlanta's most challenging par 4s. The more challenging elements of Mystery Valley Golf Club are balanced by the generous, player-friendly fairways.

Hello, Thank you for your 5-star rating! Please book another round with us soon.
Windy Day
The greens played very fast, but fair. Still a little brown before the bermuda fairways green up, but playable. The bunkers need a lot of work and are mostly clay to try and play out of.

Where’s the sand?
It was very emotional send them virtually all the bunkers. No fun hitting from a trap, especially if it’s red clay. Come on DeKalb County buy some sand!

Ravi
Course is in excellent condition, as usual. Bunkers need to have more sand

Fun Little Track
I’m honestly a “golf course snob”, but despite the overall conditions, I really like this course.
A small budget can handcuff the GCS and their staff, but the layout of this course makes up for the conditions. It has a great mixture of long and short holes. Despite the small greens, the undulations and slopes make almost any pin position a challenge. The greens are healing nicely from a recent aerification and even though they are a little bumpy, they are quick.
The overall condition of the tee complexes, fairways, and bunkers are the reason I gave the conditions a three star rating, but I believe that a good fertilization program will bring everything back. This is the first course I’ve played that I wanted my ball to roll into the rough.
This course is still a lot of fun, and I do recommend it to any golfer looking to play a golf course that’s fun and challenging.

Hidden jewel
First time I had played this course. It was a rather cold day and they had us warming up off the mats which I did not enjoy. After hitting balls it felt like rocks I decided to start my round. There are a few tricky holes if you haven’t played it before but after playing it once I played it again and did better on those holes that are kind of tricky. Greens were punched and sanded but ran true. when the weather comes up and warms up this is going to be a very very nice course again.
Thank you for the fantastic 5-star review of our golf course. We appreciate you taking the time and hope you will let us know if you ever need anything while you are here. Come back and see us again very soon for more of the best golf in town

Crook Mystery Valley
The course is interesting and challenging as usual. Of course the dormant conditions this time of year did make it a little unpredictable. It was disappointing that there was so many unrepaired ball marks on the greens. I must have repaired 3 or 4 per green.
We're glad you found a challenge for yourself with our course. We apologize on behalf of our other golfers so the dis-repaired ball marks. We hope you'll give us another shot soon.
Great course, selfish partner
Had a reasonably good time playing. Course was fine, pace ok. Lots of older 2somes hit this course because of location and value. They split our 4some into 2 2somes, and let another 2some in between us. The man & wife couple were a little slow, but not bad. My playing partner obviously expected to play alone. He filled every basket and nook and cranny on the cart with his jackets, hats, head covers, balls, drinks, etc., and did not make any room for me when paired up. Additionally, he lost several balls and took extra time looking, even when it delayed the group behind us. Overall had a decent day, notwithstanding an inconsiderate cart partner.
We'd like to apologize on behalf of your partner. We're glad you had a good time overall and hope to see you out here again soon.
Great course for the value!
It was cold but the course was in great conditions. The staff was friendly and helpful. The pace of play was great and the price could not be beat. Will play again!
We're glad you found value in our golf course for this time of year! We hope you and your family had a happy Thanksgiving.
Great shape after Hurricane Michael
I played here the morning after Hurricane Michael dumped 3-4" of rain on the course. I honestly could not believe the course was open, & I feared we'd be playing in swampy conditions. Much to my surprise, the course was in great shape! Except for the bunkers, most of which were converted into small ponds, you'd never know it rained so much. It was 90° rule that day, but I only noticed a few wet spots in the fairways. It must drain very well, don't afraid to play after it's rained. Besides the course conditions, Mystery Valley is a nice layout that offers a challenge for all players. It was my second time playing, & I enjoyed the layout.
We're glad you discovered how well our course drains after rain! We hope you'll come back soon to enjoy some Fall golf.
