About
Monroe Golf & Country Club sprawls across gently rolling hills blanketed with mature hardwood forests. Opened in 1957, the course has a classic design that is playable for all skill levels but will still provide a challenge. The golf course is mostly flat but there are some subtly tricky elevation changes that can be found throughout. Pristine white sand bunkers contrast beautifully with the green of the course. Water hazards come into play on a few holes and towering trees line the fairways. The greens are fast and the rough can be punishing. It's a layout that demands accuracy but it's not overly difficult for the high handicapper. In addition to the golf course, Monroe also offers a large practice putting green and a driving range with a bunker.

Looks like the greens were under repair but no one notified us. The rough is over grown on every hole. Not a pleasant experience at all. Played here three weeks prior and the course was in much better shap÷.
Course Experience
My brother and I played the Monroe CC and found Dave and his staff to be very gracious, friendly, and professional. The fareways and landscaping well done and the food in the club house well prepared.
It was surprising to discover “every” green on the course had numerous ball mark divots and they need a green keeper and enforced course rules for golfers to repair their ball marks on the green
Overall a good experience
The fsirways and sandtraps were in good condition. The greens need some care. Fairly easy course. Good for me. I am not that good.

7:30am tee time got it in before the heat. Great track hope to play better next time
Never fails
Played here a few times now this year. Has become my favorite course. Layout is straightforward and plenty of fun. But most important the course is always in such good shape. Greens are nearly perfect, and all of the bunkers are in good shape which is almost never seen around here! Hard to lose a ball out here too, most of the fairways are adjacent.
Immaculate!
The course is in the best shape ever! From fairway to green not a blade of grass was out of place!
The course is difficult for a beginning player but not unbearable
As a person who has only played about 8 rounds of golf , this was a challenging course. However, it was my best round yet so it’s definitely not impossible.
