About
Monroe Golf & Country Club sprawls across gently rolling hills blanketed with mature hardwood forests. Opened in 1957, the course has a classic design that is playable for all skill levels but will still provide a challenge. The golf course is mostly flat but there are some subtly tricky elevation changes that can be found throughout. Pristine white sand bunkers contrast beautifully with the green of the course. Water hazards come into play on a few holes and towering trees line the fairways. The greens are fast and the rough can be punishing. It's a layout that demands accuracy but it's not overly difficult for the high handicapper. In addition to the golf course, Monroe also offers a large practice putting green and a driving range with a bunker.

Everything about this course was great just happened to not have a cart girl but other than that it was great!

Fun Track!!
Fun layout! Greens were small but in great shape! Bunkers didn’t have a lot of sand in them, and were wet from rain the night prior, but the superintendent had workers in them pumping water out.
I enjoyed the layout of the course, and I didn’t see many weeds anywhere.
I would definitely recommend this course to someone looking for a fun layout and a quick round.

Course is in great shape. Old school setup. Members are welcoming.
Consistent greens & good fairways
Just a few little tweaks like sanding/softening the ground on some tee boxes and maybe raking some rocky places in rough just off the fairways but it has good turf in fairways and around greens and greens roll true with speed consistent on all holes...except possibly number 18 which seem faster. All in all, it’s in good shape and is challenging but fair.
Good Always
I play this course once maybe twice per year. It has always been in good shape when I’ve played it. Greens as usual are still pretty quick. I need to play it more to get better scores. Traditional golf course not too tough with no surprises. You can score well as long as you play smart.
Don’t go private!
This course is close to a lot of local retirees like myself that can’t afford a membership, it would be a shame if this course goes private. Great place to play and hopefully will continue to be a course to play again in the near future.

Course is in excellent shape, enjoy playing golf there had not been there in awhile.
