Cool course, great value

You’re paying $30 for 18, so don’t expect immaculate tee boxes, white sand bunkers, or smooth cart paths. What you do get is a cool course with some really fun holes and a laid back vibe for a great price. Don’t tell anyone and we can keep this place to ourselves.

Great value

I think the course is well designed. The grass on some of the tee boxes is thin or non-existent, but the fairways are in good condition and the greens are superb. The price was right. Will definitely be going back!

Cousre need maintenance

The bunkers are horrendous.

2 holes that had blind tee shots have had the tee boxes moved that severely shorten the holes. One became a par 3 and has you teeing up on the fairway. Not sure why they did this, the 2 holes were a fun challenge.

The driving range is irons only and the hitting area is poorly maintained.

Greens were fast and in pretty good shape.

$45 for an afternoon tee time is too much for the shape the course is in.

Great Round!

Southland was great. If you land in the bunker, take the ball out and play on. FW/Greens are great. My playing partners and I had a blast!

Wouldn’t Recommend

For the $40 avg it costs to play here, it’s not worth it. Green were the only thing they seem to keep up with. Rough was uneven. Weeds throughout. And the sand traps haven’t been touched in years.

Buyer/Golfer BEWARE!!!

This course is awful!! Not only are tee to green crappy but 1 of my party became ill overnight and wasn't able to make it and they charged me for this full round adding insult to injury. This course must be so hard up for money because NO ONE wants to play it. They spend more $ and time on the greens than to the course as a whole.

The pro shop staffer was so unprofessional and discourteous. It was a miserable round and a slap in the face to boot. Steer clear.

Great Value

The course needs a little extra attention but overall it was a great value. Only $25. The greens are the best around. Nearly perfect. Friendly staff. Nice golf carts. I will be returning because the course is in good shape. I usually pay $75-$125 to play at the nicer course, but you cannot go wrong at Southland. Very enjoyable. Bring a lot of balls if you are a beginner because you will lose them in the woods and high grass. Again, the greens were in perfect condition.

Worth every penny

Had a great experience here. Staff was friendly and it was not busy so got to play at my own pace. Have to be a little careful as you do drive across a few roads and through the neighborhood but the course setting is nice!

Pace of play

THE COURSE IS SOMEWHAT CHALLENGING WITH THE DOGLEGS AND THE GREENS WERE IN GOOD SHAPE. THE PACE OF PLAY WAS RIDICULOUS. THEY HAVE A MARSHALL BUT I DIDNT SEE HIM ON THE COURSE.

Decent course with room for improvement

First time playing this course. Greens were in great condition especially given how brutal this summer has been however, the fairways and tee boxes were rough. Course offers a fair amount of difficulty. My main complaint is with the staffing. There was not a starter or a Marshall out to regulate pace of play. Groups were in bunches all over the course with zero regard for anyone but themselves. With no one pushing play along it seemed as though many were using the course more like a driving range. I will not be back.
