Wow
Only thing good about this course was the greens. Everything else was abismal.
Southland review
Enjoyed playing the course and had a really fun time. Very different course than what I am accustomed to playing so it was nice to try something new. Very friendly staff, let us know before we teed off that the course does not wrap back around to the pro shop after the first 9.
NIce Greens-ok course
For the price, it could be worse. Tee boxes are not the best, and your fairway lie will suck but the greens are in good shape. Slow but in good shape. Fun little course.
Good for the money
3 some at 140 and played just under 4 hrs. Cart path is a bumpy ride. Some cool holes. Small greens on average but very soft and need hard putts. Sand traps are a rocky road. Staff very friendly. Don’t hit a house
Bad condition
Horrible fairways
Slow greens (they haven’t been cut or rolled)
Southland 's greens
All greens are awesome tee boxes need work & fairway are thin is spots. We where a 2 some behind 5 some (?) So slow and had single behind us too. Worth the greens to putting on
Hidden Treasure
Absolutely the best maintained greens I have played this year. Not one green had flaws on it, outstanding greens keeper. The rest of the course was very nice also. Only negative I could say was bunkers need work. But understand probably because of COVID-19
Funky Layout Well Manicured Greens
Greens are slowish but very well manicured and cared for. Bunkers and rest of course are pretty below average care but not overgrown. Course is tight and challenging from the Blues. Funky doglegs everywhere. Overall great value for the $$.
Underwhelming
I was under the impression that it was a country club/country club caliber course. It definitely was not that. Course was kind of run down. Fairways were really thick and over run. Not much of a rough, either fairway or trees pretty much. Greens were well maintained but slow. To be fair it did rain. Not a horrible course but don’t expect to be playing a country club level course as the title implies that it is. Course has a lot of potential because of its location and design. The lack of care for the fairways and tee boxes could definitely be attributed to the lack of staffing due to corona. But for right now, and probably the next couple months, I would stay away. Just not worth the time or money. Especially when the 2 amazing Stone Mountain courses are barely 5 minutes away. Definitely could be a top tier course but it just isn’t that right now.
Lots of potential
This is a nice course that winds through a pretty neighborhood, but parts of it have been neglected. The greens are pristine, but the fairways and sand traps have lots of weeds and don’t appear to have been maintained. Could be due to COVID and understaffing? The course itself is fairly challenging with some narrow fairways and lots of hills. Staff is super friendly and a few holes have gorgeous views of Stone Mountain. Will definitely play again!
