Schaumburg Golf Club - Players/Baer Course
About
The 27-hole course at Schaumburg Golf Club is divided into three nines that are played in different 18-hole combinations that range from just over 6,000 yards to 6,700 yards. The Tournament, Baer, and Players Courses all provide a unique set of challenges but they share the same great conditions on their tees, greens, and fairways. Schaumburg has been host to numerous events since opening in 1928, including the U.S. Open Qualifying and Illinois Open Qualifying tournaments. It is a popular course since the club offers country club amenities and quality with the affordability of a public golf course. Schaumburg's Players/Baer combination starts out with a few tricky carries over water on the front nine and a more forgiving back nine. There are strategically placed bunkers throughout the course, however.

It was so slow of a golf pace
I left feeling like I was ripped off 42.00 dollars and they charged us 1900 each for one cart . I asked if we could have are own cart because of Covid and they said there would be an addditional charge . We only golfed 12 holes it was so slow
Very Nice course, cordial staff
Course is in awesome condition. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Don't be deceived, if you call to make a tee time and the shop does not answer your call gets transferred to a person who books you with Golf Now. Golf Now is a joke, I tried to cancel my reservation and the website denied it eventhough the tee time is 5 days in advance, you can not talk with anyone at Golf Now, their website sends you to a chat room, I tried the chat room and waited over 60 minutes for a response, no one ever got back to me. I tried calling the course and was told that I needed to cancel with Golf Now and it might take 5 -7 days eventhough they processed my credit card within 10 minutes. My reason for cancelling was a difference between course posted rates and what woman told me on the phone. I am completely disgusted with Golf Now's customer service and the fact that the golf club has been little help. BTW I hold a permanent tee time a Schaumburg, but this might change next year.
Always good, they do it tight.
Great facility. Course in fantastic shape. Wendy in the bev cart is awesome.
A great day for golf
Despite a terrible game from myself, it was an amazing experience.
The course was perfect and very interesting for any player.
Some water, well positioned bunkers to make it challenging enough but not impossible for people like me. The course has some relief making it even more challenging.
Will definitely come back hoping for playing at a better level.
Wide open course
This course is very well maintained. The fairways are long and open and just very pretty. There is some water, but not too much even for a novice golfer like myself. I was able to really enjoy playing. I lost a ball or two to the water which is fine because I'm learning, I don't think more experienced players would have my luck. The refreshment cart was around just the right amount of times to keep us stocked. The halfway house was right in the middle and prefect for a midgame snack. We heard the clubhouse had great food, but we did not have time to try it. We will be back to play here for sure!
Really like this course
27 holes so you can get some variety. Course has been in great condition every time I’ve played. Pretty friendly course overall: fairly short, not tons of trouble as far as OB, water or heavy woods/heather, and errant tee shots can often be found in adjacent fairways. Greens are well kept, can be challenging. Being in the middle of a pretty busy city probably limits what they could do as far as layout but overall a track I’ll come back to play often.
The course has some great holes
Playing Schaumburg GS is like playing an expensive private course. Always in great shape. Can’t wait for the last 9 to reopen after Renovation.
27 holes
27 holes. Great shape. Not long. Still challenging. Good condition for a muni course. Challenging.
Pristine Condition
This course is in absolutely amazing condition. Medium-fast greens, but VERY thick rough. The ranger did tell us we were behind pace, but the group in front of us was in the fairway, so that was a bit confusing. It’s a challenging course and I would definitely recommend.
Great course, but slow play
Schaumburg golf club is in great condition but pace of play was five hours+. Today was the first day they allowed foursomes and adjusted the tee times to every 10 minutes. It was jam packed and waiting on every hole.
All of the staff I encountered we are very nice.
the best
By far the best course in the area - head and shoulders above all other municipal courses and privately owned public course, and the price is right! I have golfed here for years and the course is consistently in top top shape.
The staff is outstanding
Redesign is interesting but needs some grow in
Really impressed with the redesign but need to see it a bit more grown in. Very soft and rain didn’t help. Looking forward to returning in firm conditions.
