About
The 27-hole course at Schaumburg Golf Club is divided into three nines that are played in different 18-hole combinations that range from just over 6,000 yards to 6,700 yards. The Tournament, Baer, and Players Courses all provide a unique set of challenges but they share the same great conditions on their tees, greens, and fairways. Schaumburg has been host to numerous events since opening in 1928, including the U.S. Open Qualifying and Illinois Open Qualifying tournaments. It is a popular course since the club offers country club amenities and quality with the affordability of a public golf course. Schaumburg's Players/Baer combination starts out with a few tricky carries over water on the front nine and a more forgiving back nine. There are strategically placed bunkers throughout the course, however.

Not up to snuff
I have played this course many times.I even worked with the cart staff for 18 months.So I know the course conditions are not what they should be.The course has three nines,one of which is shut down.One is in good shape.And one is a partial combination of two nines.Two holes on one nine were cart path only only.Greens were much slower than average.Green fees are on the high side for non-residents.I would stay away until all the construction is completed.

Great course
Course is in amazing shape. Grounds crew was out all over the course keeping it in great shape! Pace of play was good. Greens were running fast and in great shape!

Great layout

Schaumburg is in very good condition for early in the season
Schaumburg golf club has very nice greens, smooth and reasonably fast for still being April. The sand traps are very consistent in depth and firmness, and all were raked properly. The newly renovated nine, the fairways have come in very nice. The pro shop is always full of the latest styles in clothes and equipment. Very friendly staff from the time you arrive in the pro shop and outside staff. The range balls are always in good to great condition as well.

Greens were great
I have been playing this course forever. For a late autumn day, it was fantastic. The greens rolled true, the rough was long and the pace of play was very good.
Third Year Playing Here
Played in a small company outing on the 21st, in which we played the Player’s and Tournament course. Player’s just re-opened this season after a rehab and loved every part of it. Fun layout, beautiful sand and true-rolling greens. Very excited to see what they do with the Baer track. The Player’s track was in okay condition.
Very friendly staff who genuinely care about the players and their experience. We work with the PGA Pro, Johnathan Parsons for the course setup and Bob Whitehead for the food and beverage at Chandler’s Chophouse. Johnathan and Bob have helped us out each year of the outing and is very accommodating. I forgot to mention to John that we wanted to have closest-to-the-pin and longest drive contests, but the staff was able to set it up in a matter of minutes with no hesitation. While we are not a huge outing, the club’s service is no different from if we filled the course with a shotgun start.
The course and staff quality brings us back each year.

Nice track, but
Layout is nice. Not long (>6100) from the tips.
Played Players than Tournament courses. Completely different experience. Well maintained, fast greens, fair rough on Players.
Tournament was shaggy fairways, slow greens, and rough where you had to step on the ball to find it. At least 5" deep. Incredible. But I recommend for the Golfnow price. I'll give them a chance at redemption at some point.

Great renovation
Played Tournament-Player Course.
First time playing Player course since redesign was finished. sand traps were beautifully done with new sands. green speeds were average. enjoyable cousrse overall. #6 hole could be intimidating with this hole so close to a street. It has no protective neting so, I imagine a ball could easily be hit into the street.
