Schaumburg Golf Club - Players/Baer Course

Been playing this course for over 25 years. Great course and best staff ever!

Schaumburg Golf Club is a beautiful golf course that plays very well. The course is well maintained and has high-tech golf carts. My only complaint of the course was having an attendant say "We can't have you taking 9 strokes to get down to the green. We are very busy today." at our first whole. Nothing distracts your first shot more than being rushed. This was very inappropriate as the pair we played with maintained pace right behind the earlier tee time. I will likely return to this course with hopes of better staff.

A tremendous Muni golf course staff was great overall great experience

Myself and 2 others play here usually once a aweek and sometimes twice a week

The course was in great shape the afternoon after a storm. The ranger did a great job of letting us know how groups ahead of us were moving. One of my favorite public courses.

Course and people thouse rounding are great

The "Players " course was in excellent condition. The greens the fairway the first and second cuts were in very good condition. Even though there were some maintenance people on the course they did not interfere with us at any time. Would definitely recommend course to friends.

After only playing a few holes, we were instructed to leave the course due to lightning. Now I understand and respect The decision made to clear the course for obvious safety reasons. However upon returning to the golf shop to pick up a rain check I was informed that I would only be given 75% of what I paid for a future round. Now having worked on a golf course And have played my entire life I found this to be in very poor taste for this golf course,

Course was in excellent condition, presented a challenge for all but the best golfers. Temp in 90's and humidity high -- rained just after we finished. Would return.

The course was in outstanding condition. This was the first time playing the course and it will not be the last. The staff was very nice and the pace of play was good but we did play in during the weekday AM. Overall, for a park district course this place was in excellent condition.

We played on a 75 degree day, all sun took 4 hours 10 minutes teeing off before noon. Never were pushed in front of from behind as groups were 9 minutes apart.

If player would have fixed their ball marks on the greens it would have been a 10, maybe too much to expect on a public course

This used to be my home course. The place where I cut my teeth years ago. I have very fond memories of this course. Impeccable conditions, awesome pace of play, great staff and rangers.

I went back to play there after a few years and found that while the conditions are still the same, pace of play management has gone to the dogs. The round lasted 5:10 minutes. This would have been unheard of years ago. There was a ranger riding around but didn't seem like he was doing anything to speed up play. Just taking some notes on his clipboard. The group ahead of us was horrendous. One of the guys was hitting 3-4 shots off every tee in Happy Gilmore style. I would have quit if not for the fact that I had a career round going. We finished as it was getting dark and the group ahead of us was doing nothing to speed up play even as a courtesy to the groups behind them. Unfortunately I have to rate this course poorly because of the management's complete lack of attention to pace of play which was one of the hallmarks of this course. I don't know if I will go back to this place. I still want to preserve my great memories from the past.

I was blown away by this course. Everything seemed to be in tip top shape. The pro shop was well stocked and had friendly staff.

The Tournament Course(only holes I played) were in wonderful shape. Everything was very clearly marked and alleviated any confusion about where to go next while playing(greatly helps for a first time visiter). Pace of play was no issue. Groundscrew was out and about maintaining the beautiful course, but never once got in the way(that I could tell) of play despite having multiple groups scattered along all 3 sets of courses.

All in all it was a very enjoyable round of golf and I will be back.

Group in front of us was very slow probably because they were taking pictures of their set up and swings on the course. Nobody in front of them for 3+ holes. Called pro shop and they sent a ranger out.

Greens are true and fast.

I used to be a Ranger at this course about 20 yrs. ago. It was very nostalgic coming back to play here. It is in very good shape. Actually best shape I have seen it. Thank you grounds keepers. and Golf Now for the Hot Deal that let us play at a very reasonable rate.

Play was slow Ranger did not do much to speed up play

I'd never played this course before and I was beyond pleasantly surprised. The people at the course were incredibly nice and the course was in great condition.

We played Tournament/Baer, white tees. The course is well laid out with a good mix of challenging risk/reward holes. The greens were in good condition and the fairways were gorgeous. This was a Thursday afternoon, so I know you can't count on this, but it felt like we had the course all to ourselves. Even with a twenty-minute rain delay in a downburst, we finished in less than 3 1/2 hours.

I can't recommend this course highly enough.
