About
The 27-hole course at Schaumburg Golf Club is divided into three nines that are played in different 18-hole combinations that range from just over 6,000 yards to 6,700 yards. The Tournament, Baer, and Players Courses all provide a unique set of challenges but they share the same great conditions on their tees, greens, and fairways. Schaumburg has been host to numerous events since opening in 1928, including the U.S. Open Qualifying and Illinois Open Qualifying tournaments. It is a popular course since the club offers country club amenities and quality with the affordability of a public golf course. Schaumburg's Players/Baer combination starts out with a few tricky carries over water on the front nine and a more forgiving back nine. There are strategically placed bunkers throughout the course, however.

Excellent park district course
Well maintained and challenging course. Being mid-April, it's not perfect but still in great shape. I would highly recommend this course.
Sunday Fun
Course was in good shape. It was still wet from Thursday rains so cart path only. Greens were firm and rolling true
One of the area favorites!
One of my favorite public courses in the area. Course was in absolutely perfect condition. Greens were pure and rolling fast. Course was green all around. Good challenge but fairly open and not overly difficult.
Best "park course" in West Suburbs
Schaumburg GC is one of the best "park courses" in the West Chicago Suburbs. They have 3 9's which helps keep the course interesting. The par 5s need a couple long hits to reach in two. Good mix of Short par 4's and Long Par 4's. Conditions are always pretty good from tee to green. The greens can be very fast during the hot summer months. Overall this course is super solid and i do play it consistently
Fall Bargain
We only play here after they drop their greens fee - over-priced during the regular playing season with only a meager break for seniors.
The course itself is terrific - great layout, fun to play, good bar and restaurant.
Great Course
I've been playing the course regularly for over 20 years. As a park district resident, the rates are fantastic. The course conditions are always top notch, as is the staff.

Players course
The course is in great condition. For a Saturday it was not crowded and pace was on time. Chandler's Chop house has excellent food and bar with fast service.
I'll go again.
November golf in Chicago
Course was in good condition. Beautiful weather in November was a big plus for enjoying the round. The pace was a little slow but tolerable.
Very slow play
Took over a half hour to play the first two holes, so we knew we were in for a slow round. We notified the pro shop after five holes about the pace of play . Nothing was done. We notified a ranger on the course on the 10th hole . He shrugged our complaint off..... Still nothing was done. The group behind us quit after 12 holes because of their frustration. The round took over five hours and the course was only half full . The course was in good shape and the girl at the halfway house was very friendly. We should've played a different course.
A beautifully maintained course
This course never disappoints. The fairways are pristine, the greens quick and true. Plenty of water to keep you on your toes. By far, one of the nicest maintained course in the area.

I took my kids to ride on cart,.
My wife, a beginner, had some difficulties because of water hazards, but we all enjoyed relaxed golfing on Sunday.

Best public facility in the NW Suburbs
I've been playing this course since well before the redesign in 90 or 91 and it has consistently been an enjoyable experience. The course is always in superb condition and the pace of play is almost always well within an acceptable range. This year is no different. The course is once again immaculate and the staff is by far the best I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. If you don't have an enjoyable round at Schaumburg Golf Club it's probably a 'you' problem rather than a 'them' problem. And no, I'm not being paid to write such a glowing review - I just love the place and pretty much everyone who works there. Municipal golf at it's absolute best. Thank you Jon and staff!

Great Layout, pace could be worked on
Very nice layout, 3 9 hole courses to chose from. Course is always in great shape whenever I have played. Usually pace is very good, but later in the day it can slow down some.
