Located a short distance from the Walt Disney World Resort and Orlando's airport, Hunter's Creek Golf Course offered a challenging game. It was the longest golf course in Florida and has been rated among the top 75 public courses in the U.S. The course winded through stately pines and thirteen lakes. The spacious, rolling fairways and expansive, undulating greens presented interesting challenges on the course. There were also many strategically placed bunkers and water hazards that come into play on almost every hole.

bad mangement
We had a 12:00 tee time. When we arrived at golf course there no golf cart available. They told us there is one hour delay tee time. When we tee off the pace of play was slow
and taken 5 hours to paly golf. This is not reasonable time for golfing.
We had an hour + late and if we ara not happy he said cal golfnow to get my money back , we ask for practice golf basket and not avallaible , was no body to pick them up .
Jmg.
Poorly maintained, average layout
The management of this course overall is poor. We played January 13, 2017. Inventory in pro shop was low - 2 logo balls left, couldn't find yardage books, etc. The starter rushed us out to the first tee even though the scheduled tee time was 10 minutes away. The greens were in bad condition with fungus, plugs to fill in bare spots, etc. The transition from the cart paths to grass was like driving off a curb - sore back now! Fairway conditions were average considering time of year. Many bunkers were unplayable because of the condition. We met a few local golfers who said that the Owner / Management Company (Insperity) doesn't take care of any of their courses. That showed here for sure.
Bad greens and horrible fairways!
Slow greens and hard pan fairways, could not get the ball to the hole!!!!
Hunters Creek is Much Improved
I hadn't played the Creek in some time. The last time it was pretty rough. Friends said they had been there a month or two ago and were very pleased. So we gave it a try. Fairways were lush, green and no weeds. Traps were full of sand and well maintained. Greens were great. Tee boxes could use a little TLC but overall, it was in fine shape. The course is a hearty 7,400 from the tips, so play to your preferred length if you want to enjoy your round. We play 2man team match play which we enjoy and rotate partners every week. No problems and were done inside four hours. There is no starter, just bag person sending you off and no ranger. We went off at 7:50 am and I was surprised to see a twosome come off of 18 and get behind us on 10th tee, that way avoiding the pro shop or bag guy, and not paying. What some folks will do to skirt the system. We had a great round. We had lunch in the Grill with good service and tasty food for reasonable price.
good course for first round of vacation
Greens are a little rough, cups weren't changed for awhile. A great course for your first round upon arriving in Florida. Price is excellent, course layout is good. Accept this course for what it is.
Great layout. Used to be great course. Integrity took it over and you see what happens. Mystic dunes used to be one of the better courses in Orlando. Look at it now. Greens had no grass. Some tees were just dirt. Integrity plans to take over all Orlando courses and take money out and put back nothing. If you have all the courses we don' t have much choice but play your un maintained courses.
Needs serious work
Layout was great but course is in terrible condition. Needs a lot of TLC. Greens were unputtable, bunkers didn't have rakes (or sand). Make sure you take a GPS because there are no yardage markers or hole overviews from the tee boxes.
Decent course
With reading other reviews I was wondering what we would find. Here is an honest opinion. First 4-5 holes were kind of rough but after that conditions improved a lot. Certainly not a pre3mium course but for what you are paying well worth it. Would consider it an easy scoring, feel good about your game, course. Would play again.
Great Course
Love the hunters Creek Golf course and the staff as well. Always a great time coming to this course:)
Things are improving!
Course getting back in shape. Much improved since my last visit.
One negative, though, we encountered children playing in or around the course. Some we didn't see until after hitting our shots. Not good.
Overall, keep up the good work!
Nice golf course for the money
My wife and I really enjoyed Hunters Creek. The holes are interesting and varied. Seemed to be the right amount of sand and water. Some of the greens on the back nine were a little patchy, but most of the greens were smooth and true. The white tees were long enough for a challenge (about 6000 yds.) Only professionals should play the back tees at 7400 yards. Food at the turn was a little pricey--$7 for a hot dog. Overall, a good experience. We will be back!
1st time
Will not be back.
Staff and check in very acceptable.. Greens on course poor- colored mud in places. No ranger to keep things moving. Will they be there much longer??
Terrible pace
Pace was way too slow. There was no GC staff members helping to keep the pace moving. Tee box wait was at least 5-10 minutes in almost every hole. Two dads had their 5-6 years old playing the course, taking their time while players were waiting to Tee-off. I only was able to play 12 holes because of the slow pace. Other players alike didn't finish playing their round.
