Located a short distance from the Walt Disney World Resort and Orlando's airport, Hunter's Creek Golf Course offered a challenging game. It was the longest golf course in Florida and has been rated among the top 75 public courses in the U.S. The course winded through stately pines and thirteen lakes. The spacious, rolling fairways and expansive, undulating greens presented interesting challenges on the course. There were also many strategically placed bunkers and water hazards that come into play on almost every hole.

great course
greens in good condition, fairways as well. teeboxes were good, all flat, no bumps or sandy patches. very impressed with the course for the price i paid on golf now. staff and starter were very friendly and welcoming to an out of towner. pace of play was excellent. groups in front let me play through without any second thought.
Good value
Played as a single and got paired up with a good group. Got a good pace going and had a great round. Some greens were ate up.
Looks a little tired
Went on internet deal ... would not paid full rate ... very quiet and no slow play. Conditions not the best from tee to green.

Good Course
This course is a great course but lately is kind of getting in bad shape. The green are patchy and lots of sand. I have played her for years and it is a shame that it is going bad. I seen the management change and I think even though they have updated the club house the course is been ignore somewhat. I hope it gets better because this is a great course. Thank you

My regular course
When it's good its really fun, when it's bad it's no fun at all. Almost always a great value but I'd be willing to pay a little more if they'd put that money back into the course. Really good layout and it would be one of the best if they would improve the greens. Awful greens! Also need to watch the "screwballs" they get out there. Bonehead 36 hdcpers tear up the course and slow play.

Would recommend
Fairways in good condition, greens also for time of year, rolling well, fairly consistent. You chap in pro shop very friendly and efficient, the same cant be said for the starter, abrupt and seemed somewhat unhappy/snappy. Shouted across to us that we could not take the cart to the car park, and we were not going on the car park....overall though would return and hope starter man got out of the right side of bed that day.

Unable to play entire course
Although I paid in advance on-line for 18 holes of golf, at the course, I could only play the back nine holes because work being done on front nine holes. The advertisement did not indicate only nine holes were available at a time.

needs work
Grass was cut but cut grass was left everywhere and had trouble finding your when in the rough because of the cut loose grass. Greens were so-so at best. Wouldn't take real golfers there, but would play again when I just want to get out and hit some because the price was right.

Sand Traps, and Greens Need Work
The Sand Traps were miniature lakes, complete with fish. Some of the worst I've ever seen. The greens needed a lot of attention, as well. Unfortunate, since the staff was great.

Course Needs Work
The building, and people were excellent. The Course condition was poor. Half the sand traps were full of water, some for so long they had fish living in them. Greens were fair, at best. Played four other courses in the area this week. This one definitely needed lots of work.

Decent course- greens and bunkers could have been in better condition but overall a good local course.

Wet but okay
The course had drainage issues and we have received a lot of rain recently. The sand traps were unable to be played, except for a couple. It is an excellent layout but the rough had not been mowed lately. You could lose a ball that was less than 10 feet off the fairway.
I hope the management pays more attention to the conditions of the course, it could get away from them if they do not.

mow your lawn!
overgrown grass everywhere. I lost a lot of balls just a few feet outside of fairways. Bar and grill was closed and place felt very run down.Cart paths were is horrible shape and felt like speed bumps. Sorry to complain but it was a great cheap course just 2 years ago.

Drink cart
Super hot out. Would have been nice if the drink cart came out at least once.
Also the course needs to mow the grass. We lost several balls due to the long grass in the rough.
Need to make the course easier (and more fun) to play.

This course is going downhill fast
This used to be one the longest and best courses in Orlando. It's now, sad to say, little more than a dirt track.
Overgrown rough, tee boxes not maintained, bare or overgrown fairways, slow uneven greens, bunkers like cement. That's the course.
Bar/restaurant was closed and no cart facility.
Avoid...there are many better options close by

Rough shape but good deal
Sand traps where rock solid and unplayable out of. The rough looked like it hadn't been cut in weeks and was very hard to play out of .

Good play
Good course that could be great with a little TLC. Great value for the money. Gentleman at the desk was nice nasty towards those of us who had hot deals on golfnow. Letting us know that we should not expect to go off early before our time.

It's not the US Open
Cut the darn grass, used to be a nice course years ago, I can't believe the other reviews, they must not play anywhere else. The course has a nice layout, but the rough is rediculous! Lose more balls 2' off of the fairway. The surrounding residential yards are more manicured than this place Not a word about aerated greens either. Way too many nice courses in Central Florida to waste my time, money, and energy here.

Good layout
We played fairly early to try and avoid the early afternoon rain (which did not arrive). Apart from being rejected by 2 guys who obviously did not want to play a round with a female involved we had a really good time. The bunkers had some water in them from previous nights rain but he price reflected this. Unlike an earlier review we were let through by a 4 ball quickly and with good grace. Nice layout although it seemed a little longer than the 6500 of the green/black tee. Will play again without hesitation. Lunch was also good.
