Located a short distance from the Walt Disney World Resort and Orlando's airport, Hunter's Creek Golf Course offered a challenging game. It was the longest golf course in Florida and has been rated among the top 75 public courses in the U.S. The course winded through stately pines and thirteen lakes. The spacious, rolling fairways and expansive, undulating greens presented interesting challenges on the course. There were also many strategically placed bunkers and water hazards that come into play on almost every hole.

Like the challenge of the course
Greens could be faster and a course marshal to control the unethical players who has limited playing experience .
Good layout back nine was scenic

Ok
Conditions on all but one of the courses I played this week were poor. I guess it is that time of season in Orlando. This course was the same, but seems to offer the best deal and the staff is laid back and fun. It's the only course of 5 I played twice.

Nice course
I don't understand the bad reviews the course is not great but for the price the golf course is great a
few bad spots but again for 22$ I think it's great value. Enjoyed playing 18holes in 2hrs 30min

FIVE hour + round
I played Hunters Creek about a year ago and thought I'd never go back due the slow play 5+hours. Well we decided to give it another chance, Nothing has changed, They are still over booking and It still took over 5 hours due to slow play.
The course is in Poor to Fair condition. Fairways are brown, Tee box's are rough and the greens are in poor condition.

Call the Course and Ask A Couple Questions First
Several greens just arrated (sp?) and PS didn't mention it. Many Pin placements were illegal: at very edge of green and directly on slope in hill of greens. No Rangers. Pace of play was incredibly slow. 2.5 hours for front and couldn't finish back. Tip: if you are a husband and wife and you are chopping, pick up and/or let people play through you! Absolutely zero water on course in heat of Florida; no drink cart. Sorry HC. It beat working, but not by much.

Good Value
Play most years on vacation. Easy access, friendly club, decent course, good value. As expected at this time of year, dry and needing some maintenance - dry tee boxes, dry fairways, bunkers need more sand. Ideal for what we wanted, 4-ball with 16-36 handicaps. Very enjoyable.

Nice Track
The course needs some TLC, but overall the course presents a good challenge for all levels of players. I enjoyed the round, and for the price I paid through Golfnow, just couldn't beat it. Every year when I'm in town, I play this course, just to sharpen my game, because it will try your skills, since it has more than enough water hazards.

For the money you can't go wrong...
The course does need some upkeep, but for the money you can't go wrong. The course has enough to keep play interesting. There's water, some undulating fairways, greens that have bunkers in play and rewards for those who risk carrying trees and bunkers. There are 5 sets of tees, fun for all.
getting there
I have been playing HC for about 10 years so I have seen plenty of its ups and downs. This course has been slammed very recently on other sites and, to be honest, I don't see why. Sure, their fairways have dry spots and a few of the tee boxes are hard, but we also haven't had any substantial rain in months. They just punched the greens so I got a fantastic deal on my round ($22 for the round, $14 for the replay). The grounds crew has done their best to make the greens playable even after punching and a few of the greens bounced back quick. Overall the play surface was good tee to green, though the rough was pretty rough. 16 green had recent vandalism which sucks for everyone. I was able to play 36 holes in about 6 and a half hours and everyone was very nice. If you want a pristine course, look elsewhere and pay $100 for your round... if you want an affordable, long, challenging course give this place a try. It's the best value in the area.
Not the course it once was
Over the years I have played Hunters Creek on trips to Florida. I always enjoyed the lay out and the course condition. Green fees were always fair. Unfortunately this has changed. On the day I played the course was in bad shape. It looks like the maintenance has gone down hill. The greens had been aerated maybe a week ago but they were still bumpy and extremely slow. Grass in the fairways was brown and in need of water.
I hope they bring this course back up to shape. It was a fun course to play.
Decent for cheap
Decent course for $35. You get what you pay for. Friendly staff and good scenery
Course open only for 9 holes
The course was in rough shape, front 9 closed to aeration and we played back 9 twice-- greens were poor for the most part and fairways had some patchy spots- should have passed on this course
Is an ok course to practice
The greens where really bad, one thing is air out the greens and have patches and holes all over them. :-(
Nice to have drinking water on many holes
Nice course for the charges on-line. It is nine to know if the course has been aerated
average course
I had played with my wife on April 29th&May.4th.Many times we had played there.The whether of that day was too much windy(over 15mph East side wind)Course layout is good.But grass condition of this time was not so good(But not poor) The staff is friendly. Maybe we will play this course again.
