Local knowledge a big plus
There are several blind tee shots with hazards in range. Plus the greens are great but tricky.
Excellent value
Course was an excellent value. Nice challenge of holes pushing you to choose variety of clubs to play.
COVID 19 Round
All things considered the course was in good shape and the 16 minutes between tee times helped. Course was in good shape except for some of the rough which was burning out as a result of a mini drought we’re in. Not sure why RUGC was still in such a severe lock down ( no takes, ball washers, etc.) when neighboring Monmouth County courses are fully open and tee times are back to normal. I guess Middlesex County just having a slower go of things.
Good option
Great pace of play. Playable course. Bunkers in better shape than most courses. Soft greens and fairways rough not so green but we need rain
Need local knowledge on several holes
Fun course. Greens have movement and are medium fast. Several blind holes have hazards I range of drive.
good value for the price
Played today for the 1st time in probably 20 years. I used to boast about how well kept the course used to be, and I was thrilled to see things haven't much changed. Not a long course, nor an extremely difficult one, but it's a nice walk and the grounds are very well kept. Played on the tails of a foursome the whole round and still finished in just 3 hr 45 min (disclaimer - I teed off at 11:28 on a Thursday morning - probably would play much slower on a weekend or Friday afternoon....). For $39, a great value. We really haven't had rain in nearly a week and the greens were still soft, the fairways and first cuts still very lush.
Great round
Walked for about $30. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens were very well maintained for that price range. Lay out isn’t anything crazy, one or two tough holes, but pretty approachable for almost anyone. A couple multi tier greens that were very tough if you weren’t where you needed to be.
Gorgeous and Challenging
The course is empecably maintained. It has challenging design in terms of doglegs, bunkers, trees, some water and forces you to be accurate or you pay the price.
Accuracy and consistency will net you solid scores on this course but you can go awry
Course was in excellent shape
Always a great round here. Staff is always friendly, course was in awesome shape, greens were IMMACULATE.
Pricey to walk given the troubles going on. Didnt know they were renting carts, or I wouldve done that. Apparently, you can only rent a cart booking direct from their website. Regardless, I enjoyed myself and the beautiful weather.

Great day to get 18 in with all the craziness. Course is in nice shape. Elected to walk as a single even though the hot deal came with a cart. Felt weird sitting next to a stranger. Gentleman I played with was 67 and had the same concern.
