About

Charlotte Harbor National Golf Club (formerly known as Bobcat Trail Golf Club), also known simply as "the Cat," has been considered one of Sarasota County's best courses since it opened in 1998. Each hole on this lengthy par-71 layout offers a risk-reward opportunity. This thought-provoking course requires careful course management, proper club selection, and sharp short game skills. The large greens are fast and undulating and bunkers are strategically placed throughout. There are also several water hazards that come into play. Not only does each hole offer a unique challenge, they all offer beautiful scenery with a different eye-catching feature on each. Golfers will be sure to encounter some of the abundant wildlife that inhabits the golf course including foxes, gators, hawks and osprey. The club's staff claims that any of the 18 holes could be considered a signature hole.

It's nice for the price.
I am a 14 handicap. I played this course a few times now. The last time I played it was during the summer time and, it was surprisingly in good condition. Meaning (no over seeding, Or Re Doing the greens in any way.) I consider this a challenging course for these main reasons. Fairway bunkers are on a few holes, out of bounds on either side on many holes and, thick rough make it a premium for your tee ball to be struck well here. Water is also a concern on some approach shots as well. Also there are several greens here that have different tiers on them so, placing your approach shot on the proper tier is difficult for a golfer of my caliber. The staff was dismissive here setting up my tee time. (Almost made me feel like I was a bother to help) Other than that the Course was good for the price and, I will return.
I really enjoyed the course layout, was some what dissapointed with the sand trap quality too many shells
Overall the course is really nice. The rough ios rough the greens were good ad fairwayswere in great shape. I would recommend playing here to any of my friends and family along with a stranger
