Charlotte Harbor National Golf Club (formerly known as Bobcat Trail Golf Club), also known simply as "the Cat," has been considered one of Sarasota County's best courses since it opened in 1998. Each hole on this lengthy par-71 layout offers a risk-reward opportunity. This thought-provoking course requires careful course management, proper club selection, and sharp short game skills. The large greens are fast and undulating and bunkers are strategically placed throughout. There are also several water hazards that come into play. Not only does each hole offer a unique challenge, they all offer beautiful scenery with a different eye-catching feature on each. Golfers will be sure to encounter some of the abundant wildlife that inhabits the golf course including foxes, gators, hawks and osprey. The club's staff claims that any of the 18 holes could be considered a signature hole.

Seemed like a lot of the grounds were being treated. Fertilizer spread on greens, fairways brown and hard, all the water supply ponds very low
Just ok
Have played this course a few times. They were getting the course in the right direction and now not so much. If you want to take it to the next level it takes work and money.
Dirt track
It’s a nice layout on a dirt track. It’s an embarrassment really to some of the nice people who work there. The man who took my green fee did so as if he was doing me a favor. I later saw him in the lounge where he was even ruder and declined to help me with a request because he was too busy drinking cocktails. He is also an embarrassment. The women at the restaurant were nice. Go play nearby river wood and forget about this place.
I would never recommend this place to anyone. They blamed Golfnow for my tee off time had me start at the 6th hold and when I got to 10 they had a big tournament of ladies threesome starting at both the first and 10 pace was brutal! I
Left after the 10 hold as the ladies where taking over 20 minutes to
Play one hold.

First of all the clubhouse could not find our Golf Now Reservation, and I unfortunately did not bring my confirmation e-mail. But they let us play at the scheduled tee time at the Golf Now rate.
I have played this course before, always liked the challenging layout. However, the pace of play was slow, we finished in over 4 1/2 hours, The fairways were bare of grass in places, and some of the greens were bumpy.
Overall a mediocre round of golf
Course sucked
Golf course was all burnt up, greens are in horrible shape and very inconsistent. Staff lied about course conditions.
Very disappointed 2 years ago it was in mint condition, they redid the greens and lost the entire course, what a joke!!

Greens are fast wish people would fix there divots but oh well

We been trying all the area courses available thru GolfNow.
This was the best we’ve played of the less the $50 category.
We’ll be back.
Disappointed
Employees offered no greeting or directions. Had played the course years ago and knew there was some changes but no one offer any information. No one tole us what side to tee of on or when to start.
Course was in poor shape. Only the greens and tees were green because they were dyed. Greens were bumpy and appeared not to have been cut recently..
Needs a maintenance crew
A great Course is in terrible shape. Lack of adequate irrigation. Lots of weeds. Can’t tell the rough from the fairways. Had better lies in the rough than the fairways on many occasions. Sad to see this beautiful course going to the dogs.
Needs improvement
Have played here many times and disappointed that its going downhill.
The fairways are brown and the greens are neglected. A shame for what was a wonderful course. Layout/practice area is great!
