Charlotte Harbor National Golf Club (formerly known as Bobcat Trail Golf Club), also known simply as "the Cat," has been considered one of Sarasota County's best courses since it opened in 1998. Each hole on this lengthy par-71 layout offers a risk-reward opportunity. This thought-provoking course requires careful course management, proper club selection, and sharp short game skills. The large greens are fast and undulating and bunkers are strategically placed throughout. There are also several water hazards that come into play. Not only does each hole offer a unique challenge, they all offer beautiful scenery with a different eye-catching feature on each. Golfers will be sure to encounter some of the abundant wildlife that inhabits the golf course including foxes, gators, hawks and osprey. The club's staff claims that any of the 18 holes could be considered a signature hole.

Real Close to being Awseome
The course design and layout are so cool. Just a little bit of improvement in conditions would jump this course to top notch. Still very enjoyable. Cart girl was a Joy !
Great coarse jerk guy taking your money
Had a great day the only complaint was the jerk guy who took the money at the counter. They had some tees displayed and there was no price on them and they looked kinda cheap and I grabbed one. He said excuse me do you want those tees. I said yes are they not free and he gave me a snark look and said nothing is free and then I said yes at some coarsest tees are free and he gave me an evil look.
But other than that this was a perfect day

The Course was very dry and the Greens were in bad shape. Played with 3 nice Guys who made the Round very enjoyable
Great challenges
If you enjoy a challenging course this one is
For you!!! The greens were a little long but we’re true ... the course finally had the normal tee boxes going and made the course even more challenging ... if u are a good to great golfer who hits avg to long you will love the course layout with 5 tee positions and difficult shots with 4-5 island greens and plenty of wildlife ... today we saw a bald eagle a osprey dozens of tortoises a gator ... and 3 sand cranes!!
Awesome Golf Place
The course is an excellent Location with plenty of amenities. All holes are within standard condition. I can play here again and again.
Horrible
This course keeps going down hill ever since owner change greens were like concrete every Ball bounces off . Complete rip off charging more than 10 dollars
Needs Work
We played this course a few months ago and it was terrible. The course still needs some work. Weeds in fairway and even on the greens. Bare spots and sandy spots on green.
This coarse is back up. All the tee boxes were open and the weeds were gone. It is one of my favorite courses to play and glad to see it coming back around. There were a few places that needed some attention on the course but all in all it is back in my top 5 to play.
Disappointed
Lots Of crabgrass in fairways and some on the greens. Greens are hard as rocks and sandy. Last played here 3-4 years ago and was my favorite course in the area. So disappointed in the condition now. Definitely won’t be playing here again anytime soon.
Target golf
This course has abundant water everywhere and bunkers to capture your drive or guard the greens. It helps to be accurate; if you tend to slice erratically or play left-right you may not like this course. Accuracy is rewarded. Some of the fairways are thin with hard ground and little grass to hit off, which makes chipping difficult. I wouldn’t have expected this after all the summer rains. All in all, It ‘s in good shape and challenging..
Poor value for your money
Tee boxes were terrible. Most of them were difficult getting a tee in the ground. Greens should have been in better shape. When paying $53 for a round of golf, you would expect better tee boxes and greens.
Needs work
The layout is good, but I wish they get rid of all weeds, fill in the bear spots the course would be more pleasure . It would be nice to have tee boxes or even ground in the tee boxes.
