Challenging track with many elevation changes
Beautiful facility run by the staff. Course in great condition from tee boxes, fairways, and greens. Holes are beautifully designed complementing the mountain slope on which it is built on. Fairways are moderately narrow so placing tee shots is crucial to avoid big numbers. Not a long course in terms of length but holes do play longer due to altitude changes. Very scenic and picturesque, was fortunate to play on a beautiful afternoon. Staff is super friendly and felt as it was run by a mom and pop shop.
West Point Course - A 5 Star General
What a great and pleasant surprise. West Point course was fantastic. From the time you drive in to the time you leave it exceeds your expectations.
Course is in great shape, greens in excellent shape, no pock marks, the views are fantastic. Pace of play is good. The staff is excellent! And, the price! Each tee has a marker giving you a little history of past US Army ventures. . A history lesson. You got to try it.
Beautiful Views
Course was in excellent shape with fast, "rolling" greens. The layout challenges you with hazard placements, elevation changes and blind shots all the way through. I would recommend this course.
Great golf experience
It was a beautiful day playing a good challenging course in great condition with spectacular mountain views and great value for the price I will be back soon
Wonderful venue
Fast greens in impeccable shape. Friendly staff, beautiful views. Tee boxes and fairways in very good shape. Relatively short yardage plays longer. Challenging course.
To test your golf game you must play this course. The greens are fast and very demanding so you can test your putting skills. My group enjoyed the course.
Don't Let the Yardage Fool You
Do not let the short yardage fool you - lots of up and down holes make this a challenging course. Make sure you know the yardages for your clubs since course management will be tested.
Course well manicured and the greens are small and rolled about a 10-11 on the stimpmeter. If you like mountain golf, this course will suit your eye well.
Great features and elevations
The course is challenging and not very long. Your irons have to be on target ! The layout really makes you think about each shot. I found it to be a great value and would come back again..
West Point Golf
I have played many courses private and public this is one of the best kept courses I have been on . It was my first time playing this course and couldn't believe the impeccable conditions of the course . We will go back ASAP
Over hill over dale
Course is in great shape. Very hilly and some blind shots. Lots of change in elevation. They start off on the 5th hole, by the ski slope. Staff friendly plus a nice food venue.
Don't be long
Pretty tight and challenging as a rule.
As with many courses, you do not want to miss greens long.
Worth the Trip!
We took the 2 hour drive to play because of a fantastic replay rate and lunch special. The course was outstanding with beautiful views. There are many challenging tee shots, so you have to be on your game. Bring a golf app to know your yardages to hazards. The course was in excellent condition. The only complaint I had was one employee. The staff was very friendly and very accommodating, except for one clown. There were two foursomes on the first tee so the starter kindly gave us the option of starting on the 3rd hole as we were a fast twosome. Upon coming back around to play holes 1 and 2, some guy comes screaming and yelling at us that we were trying to play extra holes. We explained the situation and he shakes his head and goes storming off. Then screams at us we better only play 2 holes. He acted like a complete jerk. He put a damper on a really nice day. But overall it was a great trip besides the one nasty employee.
DanKnows
Very challenging course with lots of water and fast breaking greens. 14 of 18 holes have water hazards so bring extra balls. You better be in good shape if your going to walk this course. Lots of hills and some long walks from green to tee. If your not an advanced golfer bring a positive attitude cause your gonna shoot some high numbers. Great views and a really nice course. Watch out for bear on hole 12!!!!! Lol
A Gem in the Mountains
Beautiful Views coupled with Great Conditions.
The course plays longer than on the card. Need to know the course as there are few straight targets. Greens are running fast and many are crowned. All of this makes the course play more challenging than you might think. Its a beauty in my book.
