West Point Golf Course

My friends and I had a great time at West Point. The scenery is beautiful, and the holes are interesting and challenging. I have never played a course with six par-threes. In addition to the golf experience, you get a history lesson: at each tee box, there is a marker that traces America's military history from the Revolutionary War (hole #1) to Iraq (hole #18). West Point is a very special place, and its golf course is yet another reason why it is.

Well maintained everything on the course, view is beautiful, each hole demands precision of club use, hilly! I enjoyed it.

this was a really nice course. it ws challenging but fun.
the fairways are nice and wide. it played very slow- we waited at every hole and left at hole 16- there was no ranger in site. the group ahead of us blamed the group ahead of them it was very frustrating.
no ladies room on the course- you only get it at the turn around.
but i think it is definitely worth it to play here- for the views and the challenge!!

Course was in excellent shape. Greens were fast and smooth. Tee boxes and fairways in excellent shape would recommend for a great day of golf.

Played in 3 hours 18 holes no backups all good , got discount when booking on line will go again , love the monuments ( even had te to read them) Keep up the good work

Great course, well-kept. All in all a nice experience except for last-minute changes in tee times to accommodate a tournament.

This course is in the best shape I've ever seen it in. The greens are tricky but consistently so. The staff seemed friendly which over the years I've played there has not always been the case. It is a nice course but overpriced if you don't go through Golf Now. I'll be back.

Really enjoyable course. Condition of course was great. Only quibble: tee boxes are often not level and markers not facing where you should hit it. You need to be vigilant. Really fun to play.

Course is in very good shape and greens run true. Was a bit slower than usual the day I played, but nothing to ruin the day. I especially enjoy holes 10 thru 15 on the West side of the road, and put a string of pars together including my personal most difficult #12. Was Wacky Tuesday so everyone played the back nine first. Ended the day with a birdie on #9. Course is hilly so very difficult to walk and very few do.

Very nice course, well marked and most of the greens were very fast, some were not so it made it hard to gauge from hole to hole. Beautiful scenery and good prices for merchandise in the pro shop, cart girl kind of absent until the latter half of the back nine. Made the reservation through golfnow.com for 11.20 am, but was called by the course about an hour after making the reservation and was bumped back to 12.30, need better coordination between website and course, only complaint!

This was a course I had wanted to play for a long time, several attempts were cancelled b/c of weather.So I got a good deal on Golf Now and played. We (joined up with some nice NY firemen) started on the back nine and that is where we finished. The pace (if you could call it a pace ) was incredibily slow, over 3 hrs. to play nine. The killer was when we got to the 1st tee and saw that groups were being sent in front of us. We left. The course, as much of it as we played, was interesting with a lot elevation changes making the course play longer than the scorecard. Conditions were good, greens a little slow. Nice grass driving range and practice area.

Weather was not the best but the course is very nice. Cart path needs improvement (bumpy)

Do you like hills? WP has some of the most dramatic uphill and downhill shots you will find anywhere. The course is interesting, unusual and difficult, especially the greens. It was in very good condition and the scenery is spectacular. The staff couldn't have been nicer and they offered an airation discount. Do not even think of trying to walk this course, it isn't possible.

We went out a tad early, and after letting a onesome through, we never had anyone in front of us or immediately behind us. Played in 3:40. Though the course is not long, there are a few pretty tight holes, so it's not as easy as you might think, and we thought the front nine was particularly attractive.

We had a great time for the first time playing this course it ranks right up there with other courses both out west and in the east. Will definately play this one again.
