Love Olde Sycamore
Always a great experience. Great practice area, plenty of food and drink options, course is always in good shape.
Nice Course, good value.
The course is well maintained and has a good layout. It rained pretty hard the day before but the course seemed to drain well, as it was only about as wet as you would expect it to be. Good bit of variety in layouts, though there were no layouts shown on the scorecard or anything we could get our hands on. Clubhouse is nice and staff are friendly. There was a bit of a mixup with our food order called in at the turn but the staff handled it well so it wasn't a big deal. My round was like $60-70 and I thought it was well worth it. Would recommend.

Greens are back
The greens have come back from being poor earlier in the year. Even with all the rain the course was not as wet as I thought it would be. Price still needs to be less in the winter than summer rates. Wasn’t crowded but some groups were still slow AF

A fair play
I didnt have a lot of expectations going into the day other than some fun with friends. But we did have a great time! Service in the pro shop and restaurant were A+ and we had a really great time. Cons - $75 for a winter rate was a bit much for a course that has some really rough looking greens. Pros - course layout and one of the best hotdogs the turn in the Charlotte area.

Poor Greens
The fairways and rough are in excellent condition, and I've always enjoy this course for it's varied challenges, but the greens are appalling and really the price of the round should be lowered as a result. This isn't a $75 course at the moment.

Could be/was great
Been playing here for years. Greens are currently in poor shape and the worst part, which has been getting worse over time, is pace of play. It seems courses now are fine with over crowding as it’s impossible to play anywhere now without waiting, and Sycamore is no exception. Absolutely gorgeous course layout, but pace of play ruins it. Won’t be playing here anymore unfortunately.

Great improvement in course care.
I haven't played Olde Sycamore in months because the last time the greens were a mess.
Kudos to the greens keeping team! They are back to their wonderful shape and rolling very nicely.
The pace of play was great on the front side, but we reached the bottleneck at about hole 12 and from there it was a snails pace. No worries though... it was a beautiful day.
Fall is definitely the best time for golf in the Carolinas.

Bad greens
The greens were in very rough shape and we were forced to pair up with random golfers forcing us into a 4some.

No desire to return
Front nine greens are awful! Worst greens in greater Charlotte mkt area.

Dead Greens and Slow play
First I will start with the positives. The layout of the course, tee boxes, and most fairways were really good. There are greens however that are dead. I had 3 putts where I had to put through huge dead areas towards the hole. Pace of play is also a huge problem. I quit after 13 holes after playing for 4 hours, it would have been a 5 and a half hour round otherwise. The back 9 was 3 deep on groups waiting to tee off. I’m sure it’s not like this everyday, but it was yesterday.

What a shame
Greens are in very, very bad condition.
Worst I’ve played. My buddy warned me that they sucked but rolled the dice.
I have zero desire to return.

Greens are rough
The Greens either got disease or burnt out in Summer and several greens are in awful shape. If it was discounted well I'd say go for it. But until that happens I'd avoid.
