Greens (Jacked Up )
I wish GolfNow would alert you when a course greens are Jacked Up. If not GolfNow at least the Pro Shop . The course was in good shape just the greens were the worst I ever seen at this course. Definitely not worth the $$$ they are charging. IMO ..

Nice course, well layed out and maintained. Greens need a little TLC but otherwise an excellent experience!!

Awful greens
Expensive course in general which Is fine but not for the quality of the greens. Massive spots that you can't even put through, horrible consistency, and just not in great shape. For the cost we expected alot more. Could play a $30 course with same greens quality

They may have had disease in greens , awful. They should have made advance notice of brutal green conditions

Why I stopped playing Olde Sycamore
Used to play Olde Sycamore consistently 5-6 years ago but stopped playing because the greens were getting worse each time. Decided to give it another shot last weekend. Greens still are terrible. Not coming back … ever. Too many other and better maintained courses in the Charlotte, NC for the same cost to play. Also, our cart’s hill brake wouldn’t hold. What a drag to have to continually find a flat spot, turn the tires into the curb, or bump it up to our playing partners cart.

Greens are in bad shape, lots of dead spots. Course should advise players of greens needing to be restored, and or offer 50% discount until restoration is done

Waste of Money
This course should be worth 30 bucks for 18 tops. Do not pay 77 dollars to play here.

Great round
The course was amazing. They had just aerated the greens which happens in mid August. Had a great round and people were nice to allow us to play through when we met at the tee box.

Nice layout, brutal greens
I like the layout of the course, but the greens looked ravaged by sun and fungi. Sometimes I felt like I was putting on the moon. Given my putting, I don’t need the additional challenge. 😃

Bad greens and unraked bunkers
This course has a good layout but they have bent grass greens and showed signs on several holes of stress and or fungus--bare spots and just below average overall. Bunkers were also unraked and difficult to play from. Maybe a staff shortage, or maybe just neglect. Regardless, for the cost to play and shape of greens/bunkers, my sorely disappointed group will not be returning.

Greens
Not sure what is going on, but the greens a more in terrible condition. I wish we knew before booking. It made the round very difficult to enjoy. I will not be back until the greens are in better shape.

Overpriced
Overpriced for the course condition. Snack bar at the turn took 20 minutes. Course tends to get backed up too, have had multiple +5 hour rounds. Greens are always dead, borderline unplayable. There’s potential, but I’ve been consistently disappointed playing here over the last 3 years.

The course didn’t live up to the rankings right now.
Being an out of town player, I looked to online reviews and the reviews were outdated. Most of the greens and tee boxes were patchy, had disease, or were burned. It was a challenging course that forced you to play smart or pay the price. Overall an average course, but would not recommend to a friend as other courses for the same price are much nicer.
