They had an issue with the greens. Very burnt up. Th rest of the course was great! I would recommend playing in September the green should be better by then.

Hadn’t played this course in a couple years and there were craters on every single green. Horrible condition and way overpriced.

The greens are GONE, done, dead, finished and large portions of every green need REPLACEMNET! They need to spend the money and repair it, The small discount is not enough as you cannot putt on the greens.

Love the layout of the course and the pace of play was fine (4 hours and 10 minutes); however, for a Saturday, too many twosomes amongst foursomes. When the greens are fixed (understatement) this is a very good course!

We played on a very hot day, so the shade on the course was very nice. When we showed up to check-in/pay; the pro in the shop never made eye contact and came across rude. The server behind the grill was great and the rangers/starters were nice; but our first impression was the golf pro b/c we checked in first. The greens were terrible, we were warned before starting, and I do remember a "discount' or something related to course conditions when I purchased, but it didn't seem like a discount b/c I'm pretty sure it's always that expensive. A bigger discount would've been better

This is the 2 time we played this course this season first time the course was in great condition but yesterday all the greens were terrible… completely burnt out, dirt. Fairways were fine, but wouldn’t play again this year… maybe next season.

Love the course, love the layout. Definitely more challenging from the blue tees than the white. Tees and fairways were in great condition. Greens were unplayable. I would not play this course until they were.

Overall this was a fun course to play, the staff was very friendly and the course wasn’t very crowded so the pace of play was great. The only complaint I have is that the greens are in very bad shape. You almost can’t putt at all because of all the dead grass and patches of dirt. There were many times where I had a good putt but the fall hit a patch of dirt and got completely thrown off the line. I’ve heard that the greens are better in the fall so if I play this course again I will definitely wait a few months to play it.

I played yesterday Saturday and I will never play this course again. I paid $52.50 and felt ripped off. The greens were in terrible shape. I have pictures to prove it. It should only be $15 maximum to play this course the way the conditions is right now.

Course layout is great, but unfortunately the greens are horrible. I can't believe how they looked. It used to be one of the top courses in the Charlotte area.

Something happened to the greens. Tee to green is great but the greens are now garbage. One of last courses to still have bent grass greens and probably just too hot for that? Actually still putt ok, but large patches of dirt. Not sure is plan is to let them go and change out to a summer grass?

I am 60 years old and have never encountered worse greens in my life. If you decide to play here after reading this review, be forewarned that you will be putting on cratered and cracked mud (if its dry) or packed down mud (if it rains, which it did all day on and off today). This is way beyond a "maintenance issue". What we have here is years upon years of neglect. I could build a better green in my backyard with a shovel. STAY AWAY. This course is not coming back anytime soon. A complete rebuild is required.

It's a shame, because the rest of the course is 4 out of 5 stars.

We had a great time at Olde Sycamore. The course was fun and beautiful.

There are so many better courses in Charlotte, I payed $28 and still felt ripped off. Course was in terrible shape before it started pouring, then on the 4th hole when it started pouring at 3:30, I called about a rain check and it apparently was too late and was going to “clear up”. Other courses in the area would not give you this treatment and act this way when a flash flood happens. You probably couldn’t pay me to go back. Only a 5 star pace of play because of how few people were there.

Charge a hefty price or having terrible greens. $72/person for a round of golf, and greens are all dried and patchy.

I love the course layout, but the greens are in horrific condition. Hope they can figure it out because I really like the course.
