The Currituck Club

We played in early May. Course was in great shape, particularly the greens. We got a lot of rain the night before and aside from a couple of traps with standing water the course took a punch pretty well. I think we could have finished in under 3.5 hours but there were some slowpokes who were playing at a snakes pace. They need to have a Ranger drive by more than once. Other than that it was worth the $109 to play a nice resort course. We also played 9 the next day day for only $60 and the starter told us if we wanted to keep playing just to pay the difference at the turn.

If the wind is blowing west to east over the sound, this course is extremely challenging. Beautiful venue. Pro shop staff very nice. The Hunt Room Grill is a great place to top off your round.

We loved the layout, the conditions were scruffy but we assumed just coming out of winter. Clubhouse was closed when we finished at 6:00pm, not even a restroom available!

The Currituck Club is a well designed, fun course to play all the time. Some golfers are prone to not pick courses because golf is expensive, but this club is a great value considering it’s design and playability with several tee boxes to fit your game. The greens and bunkers are good. Several sound - side holes with beautiful views and a fair amount of water.

I’ve also experienced that the Pro Shop staff and course management are very interested in US golfers having a good time while we’re there.

Spring condition is good at the course. as summer approaches it will get worn out. Green were quick, pace was good till last three holes when we bogged down behind a foursome.

A really good course. Tee boxes need improvement, but all else top notch. Hard and fast fairways. Receptive greens. Good sand. Don't miss it.

Always a good day at Currituck Club. Staff, equipment, conditions, food are always excellent.

As a homeowner within the community, disappointed to see the gps carts were not being used. The carts are still advertised but we’re not used.

Play was a little slow but it was exceptionally windy which may have slowed play. Course is always in nice shape. Greens rolled well perhaps a bit slow but very playable. Enjoyed the round.

Course was in nice shape except a couple of thin fairways. Greens very nice! Staff met all expectations.

Despite this being a beautiful course, it is not worth the money. I will start driving to the mainland to play at half the cost. And feel good about it.

Nice course but honestly not worth the money. I can play nicer courses in Texas for literally a third of the cost to play Currituck. No senior rates as well. I find myself overpaying to avoid having to drive 90 minutes round trip to play elsewhere. Golf carts have been down graded as well. Used to enjoy the yardage marker and scoring displays but now I get to just enjoy - a bare bones cart.

Nice short course though if you have the money.

Would be nice if Corolla property owners were afforded a discount. After all, we are the ones that are bringing your golfers to the course. It is not the other way around.

1st time playing, wasn't disappointed. Excellent conditions, fast greens, well laid out course. Very scenic as well, with some beautiful sound views. With the exception of the counter person in the pro shop, everyone was very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely play again.

Course plays long but wind moderate. Forward tees best for old guys but makes course fair. Foursomes in front moved OK to make 4+ hour round tolerable. No one pushing. Very enjoyable and conditions excellent.
