About
The Currituck Club has a Rees Jones-designed layout that stands out from other Outer Banks courses, mostly thanks to its ideal location along the Currituck Sound. The golf course shares the landscape with an abundance of wildlife including deer, osprey, geese, and turtles. Golfers might even catch a glimpse of an eagle soaring overhead. The layout tumbles across rolling sand dunes and combined with the seaside location, the golf course offers a true links feel that is reminiscent of traditional Scottish courses. The diverse coastal terrain is covered with maritime forests and wetlands. The holes are both challenging and scenic, especially the seventh through the ninth, which sit right along the Sound. The golf course also finishes on the Sound with a scenic closing stretch. Playing The Currituck Club right at sundown will provide unrivaled views.

Premium Winter Golf
Once again, Currituck club delivers excellent winter conditions. The green were smooth and quick to the point of not liking putts from above the hole. Bunkers were groomed well. the fairways were dormant so low running shots went on and on. The majority of the people playing are members so it feels very private. Most of the homes bordering the course were eerily quiet and empty. This is a great golf course.

I play here often and am nearly always disappointed when I play anywhere else. Course in great shape despite winter weather.

Great place to golf in OBX
Courteous staff, excellent course layout and conditions.
Disappointed
Good layout but super slow greens, lots of weeds. Lost balls in rough in 2021 due to lack of maintenance. Priced too high for the conditions. Poor bunker maintenance. Much better value at neighboring courses Kilmarlic and Carolina Club. Had a few guys in our group that refused to play 2nd 18 after 1st 18 experience.
Course took a hit from Covid
When I visited in April, 2021 lots of places were reeling from Covid and this one sure seemed like it was. Maintenance was down, staffing was down, amenities like food & drink were scarce. ClubCorp, however, is not a mom & pop operation. Considering they were still charging full freight I expected better than I got. Their monopoly on their area seemed to help their cause. Maybe next time I visit the area they will be back on their feet again. I sure hope so.

Off season value!
Even though the Bermuda is gone dormant giving up it's green color for brown, this course is still very enjoyable and absolutely value priced. Feels like a private course. The area is very empty which is typical until the rental season starts again next spring. Best practice area of all courses in the OBX. Most challenging greens of all courses in the OBX. Pick the right set of tees and enjoy.

It’s a great golf course
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed playing Currituck. It is challenging but not overly so. Course was in great shape and has some very nice holes with water views.
