The Currituck Club

The wind conditions at time were unbearable. The pace of play was slow.

First time playing this course and it was beautiful there. I’m on vacation from Pittsburgh and had to bring the clubs to play at least once. Well I’m going back again this week to play again cause it is that good to me to play again. Met the GM. On the course when I was playing with his nephew which I didn’t realize until he came out and followed us a few holes and he was a great guy. He invited me back for a good price. Wonderful staff. I come to the outer banks twice a year and will definitely be bringing the clubs for now on just to golf here.

Course was in great shape, but the annoying part of this day was the course was already behind starting pace by at least 2 tee times, and the starter let two members without a tee time jump us. On a already busy and slow day this rubbed us the wrong way.

First time golfing here. We’re on vacation down here and I wanted to golf. This course was recommended by a buddy of mine. They came out to the car and took my clubs out of the back and put them in the cart and took the cart around back. I’ve never had an experience like that and it was awesome. The staff was tremendously friendly and the course was amazing. Definitely will be back if we come back on vacation, and I will recommend anyone who stays in the area!

Always a good round of golf and nice facilities at the CC. Range is a plus. Lots of challenging water.

The course was in excellent condition. The greens were recently aerated but still rolled ok. Had a 1:46 tee time for two and played in 3 hours. Well worth the green fee even before the reduced rate for the afternoon.

I like this course, very challenging layout and the greens are forgiving and roll true for the amount play.

Have played this course many times. The difficulty changes like the weather on the sandbar. During the tourist season the course is busier on Mon-Thurs. it is always a fun course to play. Price to play are comparable to all the other courses in the area.

its a nice course, but waiting at every tee box for 10mins was ridiculous especial for $150. We were hoping playing on a Tuesday would be empty, not so much. They need to space out the tee times more and not try to cram as many golfers out there as possible. The rangers need to be more aggressive pushing groups along also. there was also a gentleman who was on our tee time who said he wasn't feeling well and we told the starter we didn't feel comfortable playing with him during covid. well the starter wasn't happy with that and asked us all individual if we would play with him as a twosome.

Nice course for the location as there aren’t too many to pick from in the OBX. Staff was friendly. Play was a good pace. The rough was a little deep but nothing to be too concerned with. Nice and open.

instead of having free water on the course they charged 3.50 for a 12 oz bottle that they paid 10 cents for at least put them on the course for free

Course itself was great

The course is a solid track that offers a test from every tee box. Keep it on the fairways because the rough gobbles up strokes. The greed read true and the speed is fair.

Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Played Currituck last September and panned it in my review for slow play at 4 1/2 hours and poor greens because no one fixes their ball marks. Went back again today and the guy in the pro shop said we should be playing it in 4 hrs 25 minutes. The round took us 5 1/2 hours. No rangers to push the slow foursome two groups ahead of us. It was atrocious. At one time there were 4 groups on a par 4. The slow group on the green, the group ahead of us on the fairway. us on the tee and the group behind us waiting in carts. Nine minute intervals don’t work here. Why have rangers If they won’t do their job and speed up slow groups? The group in front of us actually hit right through the slow group. On the 8th hole which was our 17th hole since we started on 10. The slow group took at least 10 minutes on each green. Again this year the greens were not that great either. Nobody fixes any ball marks. We all fixed at least 2 ball marks each hole. It’s a shame because it is a beautiful course but I’m done with it due to the slow conditions.
