About
The Currituck Club has a Rees Jones-designed layout that stands out from other Outer Banks courses, mostly thanks to its ideal location along the Currituck Sound. The golf course shares the landscape with an abundance of wildlife including deer, osprey, geese, and turtles. Golfers might even catch a glimpse of an eagle soaring overhead. The layout tumbles across rolling sand dunes and combined with the seaside location, the golf course offers a true links feel that is reminiscent of traditional Scottish courses. The diverse coastal terrain is covered with maritime forests and wetlands. The holes are both challenging and scenic, especially the seventh through the ninth, which sit right along the Sound. The golf course also finishes on the Sound with a scenic closing stretch. Playing The Currituck Club right at sundown will provide unrivaled views.

Good course
Course was in good shape despite heavy rain the night before. Wind was down, so it wasn’t overly tough. Course can be a bear if the wind is up. Didn’t love paying $150.00, but I’ll probably do it again

A challenging course that forces carries while also not being too narrow. Will play again and would highly recommend.

Bring lots of balls!
If you like water hazards, then this is the course for you. The front nine is very challenging with lots of water hazards. Be prepared to layup or lose balls.

Fun course but COSTLY day for me
Fun course nice layout. Greens were grainy and a tad slow. If I was rating on golf course alone i would give it 4 stars however...dropped my bag at cart drop with my laser rangefinder clipped to my bag via caribeener clip. They drove my cart to range while i checked in. When i got to range the rangefinder was gone. Staff basically said tough luck, we will call you if it shows up. So my overpriced round now cost me an additional $300. Now approaching pebble beach greens fees. Left a voicemail for GM. No reply. Terrible experience and costly. My advice is play Kilmarlic

Overall good course for OBX
I have played a few courses at OBX and this is the best one so far. The layout is relatively easy if you can hit the ball straight. Greens were slow but that is standard for a beach course. Tee boxes definitely needed some love, they were furry and patchy but definitely playable. Fairways were in great shape, greens were in great shape. They didn’t have a ranger out but the pace was only about 15 minutes over. The carts had the gps screens in them which is really nice. Staff was friendly and the cart girl was cute. Overall would recommend.

Tough on windy days
I had a great round last week 6/11/20, which was my second time playing there. I will say my cart was weak and the e-brake didn’t work, but the course is great. Scenic views with tons of water and bunkers. Bring lots of golf balls if your aren’t hitting it well!

Great course.. Will be back
Played 5 rounds over the weekend.. Currituck was arguably my favorite. Area's received some rain and course held well. Great views over the west side of the island as the sun was coming down. Moderate course... You could just as easy try attacking the course and challenge yourself or go out for a handicap round and really enjoy it all the same.
One detraction was we finished up around 7 and pro shop wasn't open.
Will definitely be back next time through OBX

In need of some TLC
This course I has a great layout. It is fair but challenging with scenic views of the bay and ocean. When the wind blows it gives you all you can handle. With the quality of this layout you would think there would be more of an effort to keep it in better shape. The greens were okay, a bit bumpy with signs of a black fungus or mold., with plenty of ball marks. Fairways were okay but inconsistent. Rough was spotty, but nonexistent around the greens. The tees need the most work, lumpy with the grass at different lengths. The par threes had plenty of diviots. It’s worth the $90.00 but I would not pay the higher morning rate. Would and did play it again..

Great Course, Super Staff and Very Accommodating
They have now installed flags, using insert to make it easy to retrieve ball. Although carts have GPS it's not always accurate for distances to pin. Greens are firm and course is well trapped, but bunkers are in excellent shape. Very challenging length wise, especially with variable wind conditions.

My local favorite!
The Currituck Club is perhaps my favorite course one the OBX. Definitely worth the drive up HWY 12. The course is well layed out and very well maintained. Have played this course several times. Would reccomend this course to anyone.

All precautions taken to minimize coronavirus contamination risk. Expect this is safest place to play or even be at this point. Pace of play was great and course in excellent condition.
