The Currituck Club

The course was surprisingly generous off the tees. Difficult approach shots over water and shoulders deflecting balls into large bunkers. Lots of contour on greens but not overly fast. Great variety of holes. Wind can be a huge factor. Friendly staff and carts are gps equipped. I will look forward to coming back. You will probably not shoot your handicap and you will still have a good time.

Booked a tee time through GolfNow (best rate) the day of about 2 hours before. Had an alert for aeration but figured I'd give it a try. Arrived an hour prior to my tee, paid in the pro shop which had a very large selection of items. I proceeded directly out to the range and checked in with the starter. I was a single and was paired with another single who had yet to arrive. Told the starter the sooner he could get me out there the better (dinner plans). The range was very nice, with lots of teeing grounds. Finished my warmup and still no sign of the other player and no other groups for me to be paired with, so I patiently waited for the other guy to arrive, he did so about 20 minutes prior to the tee time and the started rushed him onto the range and after maybe 20 balls and the starter pacing behind him he jumped in the cart. We played white tees as I have never played the course and he didn't get much time to warmup. The layout of the course is quite forgiving off the tee, but makes you think about your approach shots. Differing lengths of par 3s and water and sand can come into play on errant shots. Play was pretty quick for about 5 holes then we caught up to the groups ahead of us where we joined another 2some. When we made the turn, the other group went ahead without us and played through an elderly couple who had just stopped at the turn. Finished the round right at 4 hours. Can't address the amenities in the bar and grill as all I purchased was a sports drink, lots of drinking water on the course, however. Fairways were plush and the rough is penalizing in some circumstances. As for the aeration, my guess is that it was done quite some time ago as they were pretty much healed and rolled well. Overall, worth the rate I paid and would definitely play it again. Wish I would've picked up a souvenir ball marker.

Great layout with a nice variety of holes. Challenging but rewarding if you keep the ball in play. Would definitely play here again.

Player twice while there on vacation. Was most convenient location but was in very nice shape and fun to play.

The Currituck Club provides a good challenge to the more skilled player while allowing a fun experience for the casual golfer.

Course conditions are excellent and the staff is friendly and helpful.

Be sure to use sunscreen!

Very appreciative they found my Garmin GPS and returned it. Price was steep but mostly worth it for the views and amenities.

We lucked out on the price this time, (thanks Golfnow!) but we have paid for full for the last 5 years and we love the course. Played 18 in less than 4 hours teeing off at 4. Beautiful course, challenging but it is set up so families can play together.

The only issue we had was the pace of play. Had to wait 15 minutes to tee off as there were no carts available. The pace of play was excruciatingly slow as there appeared to be no course marshals monitoring pace. As a result, we only were able to complete 15 holes in 4 hours. Outside of that, no issues. Loved the course layout.

Great junior program,,,kids play free with a paying adult with free rental clubs

Good solid course. Will test you from the tips with accuracy. No cart person for drinks on a Saturday but ehh...happy with the round.

First time playing. We were a threesome. Loved the course. It's a top shelf facility. It's the most expensive golf club in the area but I thought, through GolfNow, more reasonable than if I went through the club directly. Played on a Sunday at 12:00. Pace of play was great. Course condition great. Layout great. Nice views. All good. We would definitely play again, and use GolfNow again as well.

Great layout, beautiful views of the water. The greens rolls well and true but many divot marks. Would definitely play here again.

Beautiful golf course, I look forward playing there next time I'm vacationing at the outer banks.

This course was a pleasure to play. Can't wait to play again. Only slight was green speed was a bit slow. Otherwise it was a 5 star layout in 5 star condition.

Par 3's are challenging but fair...most importantly they are very memorable.

Well maintained course with plenty of challenging holes especially if the wind is kicking up. Currituck Club has plenty of elevation changes and always a breeze from the Atlantic and/or the Sound. Views of the Sound are quite relaxing, while the bunkers can be a little unnerving. The staff was very accommodating and polite. Well worth the price if you are in the Outer Banks area.

This is a pretty average course, and it's only stand-out feature is the location. For this prime location you pay a premium but the course itself is just average. Course condition is average. For these prices there are numerous areas that have seen too much wear and tear and need fixing.

Got to play this course while on vacationing in the Outer Banks. Golfnow had it for a great price. Greens were a little slow had not been rolled yet when I played. The fairways where in great shape. Only 8 people on the course so time was not a factor. Two holes by the inlet where a great scene. I'll play it again. You betcha.

Great course with many challenges

Played 3 times in 1 week and the course played differently each time depending on wind direction.

Added bonus are the views of the ocean and the sound.

Great course, can't wait to play it again next year!
