The Currituck Club has a Rees Jones-designed layout that stands out from other Outer Banks courses, mostly thanks to its ideal location along the Currituck Sound. The golf course shares the landscape with an abundance of wildlife including deer, osprey, geese, and turtles. Golfers might even catch a glimpse of an eagle soaring overhead. The layout tumbles across rolling sand dunes and combined with the seaside location, the golf course offers a true links feel that is reminiscent of traditional Scottish courses. The diverse coastal terrain is covered with maritime forests and wetlands. The holes are both challenging and scenic, especially the seventh through the ninth, which sit right along the Sound. The golf course also finishes on the Sound with a scenic closing stretch. Playing The Currituck Club right at sundown will provide unrivaled views.

Slow greens

The course is in an excellent condition. Even if the greens were very slow, probably because of the heavy rain from passing hurricane . I was paired with 3 fantastic players and we had a fun and relaxing round. I will absolutely come back.

Scenic course

This is a nice course. Not sure it's worth $135 rack rate but definately a nice and challenging track with a good mix of long and short holes. Look for a golf now.com deal.

More concerned with wedding business.

We teed off at 415pm. After seeing the drink cart on 4, the hospitality stopped. No drinking water left in any of the on course coolers (it was 90+). At the turn, they closed up the bar for a wedding. We were able to get water after getting grief from the staff. (3 staff members and wedding band were all in the bar).
On 8, a par 5 on the water, they moved all 4 tee markers up making the hole 198 yards.
The course is beautiful. Several wonderful holes on the sound. Conditions were good for mid Summer.
$79.00 is a great rate, well worth the course, I just expected more hospitality.

Very nice course!

This was my first time playing this course. It is in outstanding condition. The course was a very nice, playable layout. There is a decent amount of elevation change which was a nice change of pace. Yes, it is expensive. I got a good deal on Golfnow.com that made it worth it. It is not worth the full rack rate of $160 in my opinion. It would only be worth that if there were more holes that were on the "sound" side of the course. There are a few holes on the sound but with the trees guarding the sound it really doesn't come into play nor does it make it as memorable. I think if it was right on the sound, with better views, it would then be worth the full rate. Don't get me wrong. This is a very good golf course and we really enjoyed it. I am just saying it wouldn't be worth the full rate in my opinion.

Obx golf

The course was in great shape, played a fast front nine before hitting a foursome of locals that wouldn't let a single pass! That and the slow greens were the only low points.

Great course, nice views, highly recommended!

This course is great if you are staying on the island. It's convenient especially if staying in Corolla as it is only minutes away. The greens were aerated, but were still rolling pretty well. Definitely will be returning to play this course in October.

The Currituck Club is very nice

The Currituck Club had just aerated its greens but was otherwise in very good shape. Every hole has an outlet on the tee shot. The course layout is very nice. Some holes challengingh. GPS is very accurate based on range finder comparison. Distance between holes requires cart. Great value at <$50. Good value at <$70. If greens recover well from aeration and reach 10-12 on Stimpmeter with no bumps, value of <$125 would seem appropriate. Pace on my day was great because 2 foursomes and a threesome let me pass them during the round.

great course but no drink carts

We played this course on Sunday. 2:50 tee time. We got an amazing deal from golfnow. I would hesitate to play the course full price at 135.00. The greens had been aerated unfortunately but were rolling okay. Fairways tee boxes and sand were all in excellent condition. Layout is fun and very challenging on some holes. A beginner can play here and more experienced players would be challenged as well. We found it odd when we made the turn that the. Clubhouse was locked up and everyone was gone. We had planned to grab a couple beers but that was not an option I guess. Plus side we had the entire back nine to ourselves which was great.

Somewhat disappointed that the front nine was closed down due to aeration being done.

Very nice course

A unique course set between the ocean and the bay in corolla NC. One of my favorites because during a round you might experience sunshine, rain, calm, and wind like Scotland.
Not a really tough course, but very picturesque.

Worth it for the right price

Let me start by saying I'm amazed that people pay the steep price tag of $100+ to play this course. The golf course layout is good and there are some beautiful views of the water on numerous holes. The issue is the condition of the course, although I got a deal on GolfNow my expectations were high considering the high rack rate. The greens were very slow, I would estimate about 7 on the stimpmeter. Played the day before at Carolina Club and their greens were considerably better and for half the price.

Don't come during green aeration

Back 9 was closed and no one in the pro shop told me and a couple others about it. Other than that, it is a very nice course.

Good but

local to Corolla saved 45 minute drive to other courses. Course was in good shape. Aerated front nine so played back twice. Didn't learn until arrived. Needs to be marshalled due to waiting for foursome in front. 5 hr round. Drink cart was not on course, water jugs ran out of water and at the turn the club house was out of gatorade. The golfnow rate made it worth playing.

Believe the hype

What a treat of a course. I've wanted to play this track for a while now. We have a yearly family trip to OBX. The rate has always been very high but I scored a $40 12:45pm tee time - can you say EXTREME value? Beautiful course, pristine conditions, staff was EXCELLENT.
Played 18 in 3.5 hours. What more could you ask for?

I hear the normal rate is $160? Can't say I'd play again at that rate but if you get a good deal definitely worth the drive.

Gem on the Coast

The Currituck Club never disappoints. Beautiful setting, always in very good condition. Worth the price on your OBX trip.

Challenging, but fair. Pick the right tees.

Pro shop staff and starters do an excellent job and make you feel welcome, even as a single.

I'm an area homeowner who visits 6 times a year and always plays at least one round.

Restaurant/snack bar always seems understaffed and harried on a busy day.

Otherwise ,keep up the good work.

Golfnow made this a great "value" round.

Paying $24 for what would have normally been an $80 round was an awesome first use of the Golfnow app. Everyone at the course, with the exception of the starter, was very courteous. The fairways were in rough shape, but it's early in the season. I'd definitely play here again.
